    Story

One thousand years have passed since the fall of the Galactic Empire and the rise of the New Republic. The galaxy has seen new wars, new threats, and new evils. Now it is a new era under the banner of a new dominant government that the New Republic has evolved into known as the New Empire, based on the city planet Hab Abbadon, which seeks to avoid the mistakes of previous central governments.

The Jedi, however, have separated themselves from the New Empire. They have survived the ordeals of the centuries and continue to train those gifted with the Force in the ways of the Jedi on the fourth moon of Yavin. Across the galaxy, their ancient enemies plot from the shadows to take control. The New Sith were founded a few centuries ago by a fallen Jedi, and as their strength grow in secret on their ancient homeworld Moraband, they wait for the opportunity to strike.

It is a time of peace and the galaxy is preparing to celebrate the 300th New Empire Day. But not all is as it seems, and history may once again repeat itself...

    Description

The theme of this roleplay is the idea that history repeats itself and how the past decides the future. Your characters will decide if the galaxy can learn from the past or if the cycle continues. You can decide the fate of the galaxy. You can create your own factions of Force-users or criminals if you want, or be Sith, Jedi, Imperial, smuggler, bounty hunter, or whoever you want to be. You can uncover ancient secrets, discover forgotten worlds, and solve the galaxy's greatest mysteries. Non-canon material can be referenced. Create your own saga. Create your own canon. Your destiny is yours to write.

    Rules

    1. PM me your character or faction sheet.
    2. Wait until you are accepted before you play.
    3. Keep it PG-13.
    4. No god-moding.
    5. My word is final.
    6. If your character is killed you will have to make a new one.
    7. And most importantly, have fun.

    Groups

The New Empire: The Old Republic was corrupt. The Galactic Empire was cruel. The New Republic was weak. The New Empire is none of those. Their capital planet is Hab Abbadon and they possess the greatest military force in hostory. They have been unchallenged for three hundred years and for three hundred years there have been peace.

The Jedi Order: The Jedi Order have become independent and have become more mysterious. Some think that the Jedi do not even exist. But they do and have operated on the fourth moon of Yavin for centuries, teaching the ways of the light side of the Force to others. While attachments are not forbidden, they are discouraged. Some view the Jedi as untrustworthy and dangerous.

The New Sith: Three hundred years ago a fallen Jedi abandoned the Jedi Order and learned the ways of the dark side. He and his friends learned of the Sith and began hunting down Sith artifacts, eventually finding their way to Moraband, the ancient homeworld of the Dark Lords. The group of fallen Jedi began a Sith Order and have grown in strength and number in the past three centuries. They plot in secret to rule the galaxy, waiting for their chance, while forming alliances and training acolytes in the ways of the dark side.

The Mandalorians: One thousand years later the Mandalorians are still feared as the galaxy's greatest warriors and are considered the best mercenaries and bounty hunters in the galaxy. The Mandalorians have no single leader, but they are spread across the galaxy in many clans. They are very honorable and have no allegiance toward the New Empire or the Jedi Order. They have survived the centuries just as they always will.

The Criminal Underworld: The death of Jabba the Hutt on Tatooine shook the foundation of the criminal underworld, sparking wars between rival criminal gangs that lasted decades. The Hutt Cartel has lost Tatooine and are not as strong as they once were. New and old enemies challenge them and they have lost much power. And while they struggle, others profit. Gang wars rage across the galaxy and many organizations have made unlikely alliances with new rising powers.

    Star Wars: The New Empire

    Part One: A New Era

It is a time of peace. The galaxy prepares to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the NEW EMPIRE, the current dominant government. This new government has lead the galaxy into a new era of advancement and they command the greatest military force in history. There has not been a galaxy-wide conflict for hundreds of years and it is an age not like any other.

But not everybody is happy with the New Empire. The JEDI ORDER cut its ties from the New Empire a long time ago and relationships between the Order and the Empire are uneasy. The Jedi Order acts on their own and their forces are scattered across the galaxy. They seek those gifted in the Force, and their largest academy is on the fourth moon of the gas planet Yavin.

However, across the galaxy the ancient enemies of the Jedi plot their revenge. Calling themselves the NEW SITH, they grow in numbers and strength on Moraband, the ancient homeworld of the Sith. But while they plot their revenge, greater evils than the Sith stir in the shadows and when their time comes, the entire galaxy may be changed forever...

    Hab Abbadon

Hab Abaddon is the capital of the New Empire. It is a bustling city planet populated by millions of individuals of many different species. The planet's population is preparing the celebrate New Empire Day and there is much excitement. New Empire Day is the most anticipated day of the year and its parades are quite a sight to behold.

Hab Abaddon is the sight of the Senate Building, where the Imperial Senate meet. It is also the site of the Cathedral, where the Emperor lives with his daughter, the beautiful young Princess Zara. The Imperial Intelligence Bureau also operates on the city world, and one of their best agents is the talented Cliegg Whitsun.

However, among the population are those whose loyalties are questionable. Traitors, assassins, spies, and terrorists who have the potential to cause damage that would shake the New Empire to its core...

    Mandalore

The Mandalorians have a reputation for being the greatest warriors in the galaxy. They have made excellent mercenaries, bounty hunters, and assassins. However, for too long they have been scattered across the galaxy.

But it is a time of change, and the Mandalorian clans are gathering on their homeworld. The leaders of the clans are attempting to unite their people, but in the process they may drive the clans further apart. Independent Mandalorians are also heading towards Mandalore, including the warrior-for-hire Buck Johnson.

There are also outside forces acting in secret that may decide the fate of the Mandalorian culture...

    Moraband

The ancient homeworld of the Sith technically doesn't exist. It has been forgotten long ago by most of the galaxy, including the Jedi. It can not be found on the star maps. But Moraband is not abandoned. On the planet's surface a new generation of Sith thrive. For hundreds of years they have grown in secret, while laying the groundworks of their revenge. The surface of Moraband is a wasteland covered in ruins and tombs. However, some of the ancient buildings have been repaired, including the Sith Academy, where acolytes train in the ways of the dark side. However, Moraband is not the only New Sith stronghold in existence...

The leader of the New Sith is a man simply known as Dren. His past is a mystery and Dren is likely not his real name. He is also the headmaster of the rebuilt Sith Academy, overseeing the progress of new acolytes. He has not yet taken an apprentice, and he spends most of his time meditating in his room.

A new shipment of acolytes is due. They have come to pass their final trials and become true Sith. Tasks they must complete may include exploring ancient tombs, surviving the wastelands, passing trials of combat, interrogating prisoners, or translating ancient texts. Once they have done as they have been asked, they will be given a master. One of the new ambitious acolytes due to arrive is the young human Irluuk from the shadow world of Umbara.

However, the New Sith may have enemies they are not aware of and the greatest danger may come from within...

    Tatooine

For hundreds of years the Outer Rim world Tatooine was ruled by the Hutts. Everything changed after the death of Jabba the Hutt, which started a gang war that lasted for several years.

Tatooine is now ruled by a number of crime lords, including the human pirate Oxus. He has no family except for his adopted daughter Nellith. The best smuggler under his employment is the crafty Jack Sharp.

There is also an Imperial presence on the planet, but Tatooine is still very much a lawless world that is a popular destination for criminals, pirates, and smugglers. However, this world may play an important role in future events that may effect the galaxy as a whole. After all, who knows what secrets lay hidden under the sands of Tatooine...

    Yavin 4

A new generation of Jedi is being trained on the fourth moon of Yavin. They have enclaves, temples, and academies across the galaxy, but their largest is on Yavin 4. The Jedi Council meet here and discuss matters that are brought to them. They have recently sensed a new presence, but it is not the dark side...

The leader of this new Jedi Order is the Skywalker, a man powerful in the Force. Like Dren, he is very mysterious and not much about his past is known. He also spends a lot of time meditating and has not yet taken an apprentice. These similarities are very curious, and perhaps even troubling...

More eager students are arriving every week, in the hopes of learning the ways of the Force and becoming Jedi. Once they have passed their trials they will be accepted by a Jedi Master. Among the newly arrivals is the young female Twi'lek Ardana and the young human male Justin Valor. However, something lurks in the forests of Yavin 4 that may pose a great threat to the Order...

    Hab Abbadon

Jax Nova, a mandalorian from the tribe Vizsla, has traveled to Hab Abbadon to participate in the celebration of the 300th anniversary of New Empire Day. At least... this is what he was recorded to have left for when he took leave of his clan back on Mandalore. He is on personal leave for the time and as such intends to take care of some "personal" matters.

Jax walked through the crowd aimlessly, snacking on some holiday snacks as he watched the festivities. He had one day here before he had to be back on the move again.

    Moraband

Aurelia Shae Sa'Teel fiddled with her training saber nervously, though she acted it out as if it were a "fancy" fidgeting more than a nervous fidget. The acolytes had made it to the temple and she had been shown to the dorm. She kept a stern glare on her face and spoke to no one. She knew not whether those around her would be opponents or allies in the tests to come. He small and thinly populated zabrak horns poked only slightly above her dark red hair that hung below her mid back in tight curls.

Across the room a squable was already breaking out between two young learners. Many of the individuals here were younger than her. At twenty five years of age many would suspect she would already be a full fledged sith. She was quite short, however. Four foot and nine inches. She was also quite petite and her youthful dark tanned face made her appear younger than she really was... which was fine with her. Her green eyes surveyed the commotion in the far corner of the room, waiting to see how things would play out.

    Hab Abbadon:

The air show had begun. Two-person Imperial fighters were showing off while the crowds below watched the display of talent in awe. The crowd was made up of beings of many different races, including a human named Cliegg Whitsun, an agent of the Imperial Intelligence Bureau. But he wasn't watching the spectacular stunt show. Instead, he was watching a Zabrak Mandalorian named Jax Nova, who hadn't come to Hab Abbadon just for the celebration...

    Moraband:

Irluuk surveyed the other acolytes, looking for possible allies or possible threats. He was only sixteen and was often underestimated. But he used that to his advantage and impressed his teachers. He was just as cunning as he was powerful in the force, which was why he now analyzed his fellow students. One stood out in particular. A Zabrak who Irluuk could tell was older than she looked, maybe ten years older than him. Interesting, he thought.

    Hab Abbadon:

Jax watched the airshow with dwindling interest. Having been in real wars, such things didn't impress him much. He had also learned a few other things in his wartime training... like how to tell when he was being watched. He wasn't sure who or why at this point but he had "That Feeling."

"It is a large event," he thought to himself. "Maybe I simply attracted the attention of some security officers." He continued as though he was oblivious and went about the celebration as he typically would, though he couldn't help it if his hand hovered a little closer to his blaster now. He tried to get an eye on who might be watching him without it being obvious.

"Maybe I'm just paranoid," he mumbled as he walked away from a snack vendor. He glanced at the food. He couldn't pronounce the name and he had nonidea what it was. He shrugged and stuffed it in his mouth after glaring at it for a short moment. He went about his business then and on to the next attraction.

    Moraband:

Aurelia looked away from the scuffel when she felt an uneasy feeling... eyes on her back. She didn't know why it surprised her... they were in a room full of people. Still... someone was focusing on her. She could feel it. She looked around, not shy to show she was on to whoever it was. She silently cursed herself in her mind, knowing she was not skilled enough in her senses to determine which acolyte ot was. She wasn't blind, though...a young human a little ways away seemed to be looking at her with an analytical gaze. She gave back a stern, yet unchallenging glare accompanied by a nodd of greeting.

    Hab Abbadon:

As the airshow ended, Cliegg saw Jax begin to move away and Cliegg began following from a distance, hiding in the crowd. In a few hours the parade would begin. Then the Emperor would give his yearly speech. And during the night there would be a fireworks display. But Jax had other business on Hab Abbadon and it was up to Cliegg to figure out what that business was and if it had anything to do with the unusual behavior being demonstrated across the galaxy, because for the first time in five hundred years the clans were gathering, likely to unite their groups into an unstoppable force that could pose a threat to the stability of the New Empire...

    Moraband:

Irluuk saw the older Zabrak acolyte give him a stern, unchallenging glare and nod of greeting. Irluuk returned the nod, ignoring the fist fight that was breaking out between two acolytes in the center of the room. Instead Irluuk wondered if he should introduce himself or wait for her to make the next move...

    Hab Abbadon:

Jax lingered at the festivities for quite some time. He still could not shake the feeling he was being watched, but with so many people everywhere it was nearly impossible to pick anyone out of crowd. Finally he could wait no longer. He was already late for his meeting. He headed down the street and entered one of the many local cantinas. In the corner far from the door was a young women with strange apparel. She wore a closely fitting black two piece outfit. It wasn't tight, but certainly not baggy. It seemed well suited for combat. Her dark blue robe set people's questions even more forward in their mind. They could not, however, see her lightsaber while she sat down.

Jax took a seat across from the young women. "Lisa," he said with a nodd. "It's good to see you again."

"Likewise," Lisa said with a smile. "Are you sure you want tp do this? You understand it's not an easy path... you won't be free to roam the galaxy like you are use to if they accept you."

Jax was clearly troubled by that thought. "I know... but if I want to learn I have no other option."

"Well, on the bright side, at least I will be seeing you around more often," Lisa said with smile.

Jax raised a brow. "We've been over that."

Lisa hung her head with a bit of dissapointment as well as to hide her sly smile. "I know."

    Moraband:

Aurelia notted the young human's response and turned towards her bunk. She hopped up on the top bunk of the stack of three. Honestly she had no intentions of making friends. Half these people would probably be dead by the time things were over. She wasn't always the strongest in some force abilities but one thing she had always been good at is surviving. She would survive and be Sith.

She would, also, keep an eye on this young human. She wasn't sure what his thoughts were at this point. Soon, she figured, they would be introduced to their task master and be given their first task.

    Hab Abbadon:

Cliegg followed Jax into the cantina and watched him talking to a woman from a distance. He was excellent at lip reading and would guess what they were saying.

"It's good to see you again."

"Are you sure you want to do this? You won't be free to roam the galaxy like you are use to if they accept you."

    "I have no other option."

"At least I will be seeing you around more often."

    "We've been over that."

    "I know."

It seemed obvious to Cliegg that the woman was a contact of some kind and that Jax was trying to join something. But what? A terrorist or rebel group? A criminal organization? A cult? The New Order? Cliegg sat down at a table and continued watching, hoping to learn more.

    Moraband:

Irluuk decided to make the first move and he walked over to the older Zabrak acolyte, deciding to introduce himself. He wasn't interested in friendship, but the acolyte could be a useful ally (or a troublesome opponent) in the near future. "Hello," Irluuk nodded. "I'm Irluuk." He knew that the other acolyte would likely know that his name meant "fate" in the ancient Sith language. He waited to see how she would respond.

    Hab Abbadon:

Jax and Lisa talked a bit longer of casual happenings, what they had been up to. Jax recounted his recent missions with the Mandalorians to take out some trouble makers. Lisa explained that she had beensent to Hab Abbadon to investigate suspicions of trouble possibly cropping up. She was instructed to stay out of it, if anything happened. Only to bring back word of the source and event if able.

"Speaking of which..." Lisa said, a sigh escaping her lips as she slumped into her chair. "I should probably get back out there and keep an eye on things."

Jax nodded. "And I should be on my way."

"Here," Lisa handed him a small pendant from her necklace. "When you arrive show them this. Tell them you have my recomendation."

    Again Jax nodded. "Thank you."

The two then got up and went their separate ways. Lisa to the crowds, disappearing with no trace, and Jax to the space port to purchase a ticket to the fourth moon of Yavin.

    Moraband:

Aurelia noticed the human step her way but paid no attention until he got closer. Again, her gaze was firm but unchallenging. "Aurelia Shae Sa'Teel," she introduced herself. She, unlike the young man, hoped no one would connect her name to it's meaning. So much so she had changed her name and kept only a remnant of her ancestry.

Aurelia stayed sitting cross legged on the top bunk, gazing down at Irluuk. "They say anything about when things kick off?" She decided to make casual conversation.

Cliegg continued to follow Jax, taking extra care not to be noticed. He watched Jax purchase a ticket to the fourth moon of Yavin at the spaceport, which intrigued him. Were the Jedi and the Mandalorians creating an alliance? If so, such an alliance could be a serious threat that could endanger the New Empire and its citizens. Relationships between Imperials and the Jedi or Mandalorians were already uneasy. The New Empire didn't trust them, and for good reason. If they were to join forces, they could be unstoppable and possibly overthrow the Emperor, sending the galaxy into chaos and anarchy...

    Moraband:

"They are likely testing us," Irluuk suggested. "Seeing how we interact with each other and giving us a chance to strategize and become familiar with one another, while also watching us, figuring out who is strong and who is weak. At least, that's what I think. I'm using this opportunity to analyze the other acolytes, including yourself. So, where are you from?"

The shuttled settled down to a gentle landing, barely disturbing Jax from his rest. "Sir, we have landed," the Rodian stewardess said, walking up to his seat.

"Thank you," Jax said with a curr nodd.

As Jax stepped off of the ship and made his way through the spaceport it was immediately clear that this place was not your typical establishment. The Jedi had a cultire all their own. In some ways, many ways, not so different than Mandalorians. Their culture accepted any species, was centered arpund a code of honor, were warriors that were feared galaxy wide, and they had a culture and lifestyle all their own.

"Welcome to Yavin four," a voice of an elderly alien man interupted Jax's thoughts. "May I help you find your way to anywhere in particular? I sense you are here on a particular quest."

That right there... that was what Jax wanted from the force. The uncanny ability to sense things a normal being would never know... and of course the force abilities of a Jedi were quite handy in combat also. Coupled with his Mandalorian training a powerful set of trained force skills would make Jax a much more formidable combatant.

"Actually, I am here to speak with the Jedi Council," Jax explained.

"Ah!" The man smiled. "You are here to request training. Yes.. I can feel the force inside you. I will take you to the council for them to decide whether you may be admitted for Jedi training."

    Moraband:

"I suspect you correct," Aurelia agreed. She glanced back over to fight that had now ended. One acolyte limped back to his bed the "victor" and the other lay in pain on the floor. Aurelia rolled her eyes at their foolishness. They would be injured and at a great disadvantage when they started the trials. This would only work to her advantage, though.

After a moment Aurelia looked back to Irluuk, ignoring his question of where she was from. "For the time being, I guess we find out who the hot heads are in the group."

Another acolyte whondissaproved of the earlier fight was taking the opportunity to brag ablut his "battle skills" and mentioning how he was smart enough to save his ability for the trials when it would really matter.

Cliegg reported back to the Imperial Intelligence Bureau, to explain what he had learned. His superiors were troubled by the information Cliegg brought, and they told him the data would go to the Supreme Tribunal. After that Cliegg was dismissed, but the agent was still worried about what he had seen and witnessed, and what it meant for the rest of the galaxy. As the parade began Cliegg slunk into his favorite cantina to get a drink and told the human waitress (Starla) to fetch him his regular.

The Skywalker was alone in his chamber, meditating. He could feel the new presence the Council had recently felt, but it wasn't the dark side. It was something different. It was something new. The door to his chamber opened and a woman stepped in.

    "Grand Master Skywalker?"

"Yes," the Skywalker said as he slowly opened his eyes.

"We have a newcomer," the woman explained. "A Mandalorian who wishes to speak to the Jedi Council. He is strong in the Force and he has the recommendation of a fellow Jedi."

The Skywalker was silent for a few moments before he spoke again. "Send him to me first."

The woman bowed respectively. "Of course, Grand Master Skywalker." With that, she turned and left.

    Moraband:

"And we find out who the arrogant overconfident braggarts are," Irluuk added, watching the other acolytes. "Most of these acolytes won't pose much of a challenge. Many of them will likely die by the end of the week. I can tell you have the best chances of surviving the trials. Where are you from? I'm from the Academy on Umbara, the shadow world."

Jax was lead to a waiting room by the old alien man and a women left to inform the Jedi of Jax's arrival. Jax took a seat and the old man went back to his place at the starport where he greeted and helped newcomers. While he waited to be given an audience Jax fiddled with a force puzzle that sat in the waiting room. A puzzle that could only be deciphered with the force. It seemed difficult but it intrigued him.

    Moraband:

Aurelia nodded in agreement with Irluuk as he made his statement of the arrogant acolyte. Once again he asked where she was from, finishing his sentence with where he was from. It would be hard to completely ignore that. Aurelia just shrugged. "I've been here and there. Never really stayed in one place that long."

A group of new Jedi initiates made their way toward the Great Temple, lead by one of the Academy's teachers. Among the ambitious students were the Twi'lek Ardana and the human Justin Valor. Ardana's parents were both Jedi and Justin had a Jedi father. Justin also had several brothers and a few of them had already attended the Academy. Unknown to the excited students, however, a probe droid was recording their arrival from the jungle. Hidden in the foliage, the probe droid finished whatever task it had been assigned and vanished deeper into the jungle to report to its awaiting masters...

    -

The Skywalker entered the waiting room and saw Jax trying to figure out the puzzle. The Skywalker wore long flowing robes, had no lightsaber, had a thick black beard, dark blue eyes, and Jax could feel his presence at once because of the power that seemed to radiate from him. "I understand you wished an audience?" the Skywalker asked in a strange, mysterious vote.

    Moraband:

Irluuk noted that Aurelia was trying to avoid giving him a straight answer. Irluuk decided to drop it, but would remember it for later. "So how old are you? Twenty-five?"

Jax stood to his feet as Skywalker entered the room. With a respectful bow he answered, "Yes, Master. I do." Jax set down the force puzzle and and looked into the man's eyes. They looked quite wise and in an odd way impressed Jax.

    Moraband:

At his further inquisiting of her personal matters Aurelia came slightly flustered yet hid any outward signs. She had learned long ago that information was power. She didn't like the idea of anyone having power over her.

"I'm sorry, I'm not a custom to sharing... personal matters," Aurelia told him. "Especialy to those I've just met."

The Skywalker looked over Jax and his eyes seem to peer into his soul, making Jax feel slightly uneasy. "So, you wish to learn the ways of the Jedi, Mandalorian?" he asked after a few long, silent moments.

    Moraband:

"Understandable," Irluuk nodded. "I was just testing you. Seeing how you react and how much you would reveal. I'll stop questioning you now. A teacher should be coming in at any moment now..."

Jax stood firm as the man peered into him. It was un-nerving but Jax knew this man was a great force user and there was no hiding his mind from him. "I do, Master. The ways of the Jedi are ways that we Mandalorians often neglect. Our history is of warriors but warriors of honor. The Jedi, similarly are wariors of honor, yet in contrast to Mandalorians seek peace. I feel there is a great deal I can learn from these teachings."

    Moraband:

Aurelia set her gaze on the young man for a long moment, but said nothing. She laid down on her bed and closed her eyes, entering into a mild meditative state.

The Skywalker was silent for a few long moments before speaking once more and his voice had seemed to change. "There is much you can learn from our teachings, but these are dangerous times. Mandalorians and Jedi have been enemies for thousands of years, and you are perhaps too old to begin training. The ways of the Jedi and the Mandalorians are also very different. Admitting you to training may not be wise."

    Moraband:

The room suddenly grows silent and everybody looks toward the door. It opens a few moments later, and a man steps inside. He is tall, masked, armored, and draped in a black cape that flows behind him. The power of the dark side radiates from him and everybody can feel it. He is followed by a Twi'lek female Sith and a human female Sith. This is Dren, Headmaster of the rebuilt Sith Academy and Master of the New Sith. Though he hides his face in a mask, the acolytes can feel his eyes looking over them and they can feel his judgement. After a few long moments of silence, Dren speaks in a deep, filtered voice through the mask. "Welcome to Moraband, the birthplace of your Sith heritage. You will either leave here as Sith or die and be forgotten. The overseers will give you tasks and you will complete them or die trying. If you wish to thin out the competition, I suggest you don't get caught. Acolytes seen killing other acolytes will meet the same fate as their victims." Dren pauses and looks over the room, his eyes resting on Aurelia for a few long moments that make her feel uneasy. Dren then turns and leaves, his female companions trailing behind him. The acolytes are silent long after he has left as they shake off the effects of his presence, something that was unlike anything they had ever felt.

"I am aware of the delicate situation, Master," Jax said with regretful tone. "I am here on personal leave... I'm afraid my superiors don't know of my actions. I hope, however, that this course of action will help to smooth relations between the Jedi and Mandalorians. I feel, in spite of our differences, our people are quite similar at heart."

    Moraband:

Aurelia opened her eyes as the pressence approached. She jumped gracefully from her bunk and landed on the floor just as the door to the bunk room opened. The pressence of Dren was... frightening... yet inticing. Aurelia admired it, even longed for it. To posses such a pressence would be tantalizing. She almost coveted the position of the two females at Dren's side.

She listened to his words, already going over possible plans in her head. Then... Dren settled his eyes on Aurelia and she felt her strength falter and her heart skip a beat. She regained her composure quickly, however, and forced her eyes to meet his masked gaze with a solemn admiration yet stalwart gaze of strength.

Once he left she set a hand on her bunk to steady herself as a strange dizzy spell came over her and a dark pressence lingered... slowly fading as Dren grew further away.

The Skywalker is silent for several long moments, making Jax feel uneasy, before he spoke once more. "The High Council will discuss this matter later. For now, I must meditate. You are allowed to stay among us until a conclusion is reached." With that, the Skywalker turns and leaves, though his presence could still be felt after he left.

    Moraband:

Irluuk had felt Dren's dark presence as well. He had also felt Dren's gaze and it somehow felt ... almost familiar. Dren seemed to have had a different effect on each acolyte, and every one of them now struggled to recover. Irluuk could sense fear of Dren among the other acolytes. But he himself was in awe of Dren's power and presence. He turned and saw Aurelia struggling to steady herself under a strange dizzy spell. Despite his better judgment, Irluuk reached down and helped her before she fell to the ground.

    -

Dren isolated himself in his chamber and dismissed his female companions. He needed to be alone. Most of the new acolytes would not survive the trials, but among them Dren sensed those who would become great Sith. Now that he was alone Dren removed his mask, revealing his scarred and tattooed face, as well as his gleaming yellow eyes. He meditated in front of an odd glowing crystal that levitated, and Dren could sense every living thing on the planet and every Sith across the galaxy. He could also sense a new presence that was not of the dark side or of the light side. It was something new. He did not know what it was, but the presence had spoken to him in his dreams, calling himself the Master. Dren did not know who the Master was, but Dren did know what something was coming and the time to act was quickly approaching...

"Of course," Jax replied. "Thank you for your time." Jax stood silent for a long moment after Slywalker left and until his pressence slowly faded away. In his time there, he intended to study any of the Jedi ways he could. Even if they did not approve him for training he wanted to learn all he could while there. He headed to the archives to study what they would let him while he waited for the decision of the High Council.

    Moraband:

Aurelia came too her senses just in time to sense Irluuk reaching to help her. She recoiled at first, but his help steadied her and she regained composure. She straightened her back and calmed her breathing as she side stepped away from Irluuk's touch. "Thanks..." she said, not looking at Irluuk. "I guess now we wait for the overseers."

The archives were nearly empty except for a small human girl with dark brown hair. She was young and looked about five. She shyly walked over to Jax, curious, nervous, and slightly frightened. "Hello," the youngling said awkwardly. "I'm Hope."

    -

The Skywalker retired to his chamber. He had much to meditate on. As he did so, he felt a presence reaching from across the galaxy and entering his mind. "Deak..." came a deep, mysterious, strange, and somewhat familiar voice. This caused the Skywalker to break his concentration, sweating nervously.

    Moraband:

Irluuk didn't know why he decided to help Aurelia and he felt like he shouldn't have. "So ... what do you think of Dren?" he asked, trying not to look at Aurelia.

Jax tipped his head to the young girl. "A pleasure to meet you Hope, and a pleasent name. Everyone in this galaxy could use a little hope." He smiled, looking down. "I myself am just here to study. The starting point of a Jedi youngling. Any suggestions?"

    Moraband:

Aurelia glanced over at Irluuk for a moment, then closed her eyes and honed her senses on the distant pressence of Dren. It was almost as if she could see a shadow image of the man in her mind. "He is... overbearing," she said simply, then in a lower tone she added. "He has a great many secrets I am sure. Information I would like to learn."

Hope blushed a little. She has only been in the Academy for about a week, and her mother is a Jedi Knight. "My teachers would suggest learning the Jedi Code, and what it means, or the history of the Order. But they say that the best way to learn is through experience and by testing yourself, becoming stronger with every test and new experience."

    Moraband:

Irluuk nods in agreement. He could also still feel his presence. "I suppose he shares his greatest secrets with only those closest to him though. I've only heard rumors about his past and many think that Dren is not his real name. Some of the rumors suggest that he is hundreds of years old, or a reincarnation of a great Sith, or that his body is merely the vessel of a Sith spirit. But I think we may never know. Dren is someone that we can strive to be like, but I have never encountered a Sith with a presence like his, and I doubt there will ever be anyone like him..." Irluuk paused for a moment, allowing himself to reflect upon Dren's visit. "He has the power to get anything and anyone he desires. Who knows that plans he has for the future of the Sith..."

Aurelia listened with a keen ear. She had not heard these rumors, but her life previous had been quite... sheltered. In a matter of speaking.

"Whatever his plans," Aurelia said with a fierce gaze. "I plann on making myself part of those plans."
