I thought we outnumbered the Rebels 2-1(roughly) in the damn senate. How the hell can we possibly be losing.

from my understanding, everyone (imperials) has at least voted for you and Sistros as the top two, Chancellor and Vice. You can outmanuever the speaker regardless, even if he is from the Rebel side.

Even besides that, we still have an Imperial majority.

But... we already strengthened the armour. And what's cooler than walking down a corridor on an SSD being flanked by classic white troopers?

We could introduce a new class, maybe.

But Stormtroopers are one of the faces of the Empire, just like the olive drab of the Navy and the Star Destroyer. I don't know if changing that too much would be as good for our image.
