Ornen's sleep was anything but peaceful. He had a dream... The Vong coming, invading, taking over, destroying all that was good... Pain... Suffering... Images flashed through Ornen's head as he slept. Suddenly, he woke up, sweating.

 

The cave was as damp and foreboding as the first time that Luke had stepped foot in it. However, he managed to push those feelings of fear and disillusionment aside as he journeyed further down the path.

Finally, he came to the end of the cave, where he'd faced Vader in his surreal encounter. This time, there was no Dark Lord of the Sith. Just silence and darkness.

Luke frowned and pulled his robe up slightly higher. Evidently, the cave would yield no answers.

Then, with lightning-fast fury, a vision unfolded before his eyes.

Jacen, Jaina and Anakin were back to back, lightsabers lit. They were fighting a horde of Yuzhaan Vong warriors with the skill of a thousand Jedi Knights, but the Vong continued to draw in on them. Anakin ordered the twins to run, which they did, just the Vong soldiers struck him down....

Luke cried out a silent scream, sweat beading his brow. He exhaled and fell back agaisnt the wall of the cave. He had seen a potential future, one that chilled him to the very depths of his heart.

A future he could NOT allow to happen...

 

Kev-Mas Colchak Corran, I'll be glad to accept your offer.(goes into the room)

 

Corran Horn IC: "Hmm....."He looks at tthe space in his little shack "I have an idea.. he builds a square shaped room for the little Astro-Droid "There! now's there's enough room for you both, come on in."

*squeals like a little girl* "Thank you, Corran!"

 

OOC: wow, this is becoming a regular little sleep-over....

 

OOC: *all hyper and stuff* Yep! It sure is...*looks all downcast and stuff*...but that's not what you wanted, right? *looks hyper again* Anyway...where are we going from here?

 

OOCunno, I'm kinda waiting for something to do. *sigh* Someone better start giving us things to do, all we ever do is sit around.

 

OOC: I suppose as Luke, I should really be leading the way to a degree.

IC: Luke left the cave after several minutes but took a bit longer to return to the campsite. He wanted to try and evaluate he vision he'd just seen as best he could.

In truth, he was scared but he couldn't let that show to the students; he was supposed to be a role model after all. Upon returning to the campsite, he paid Corran a visit.

"I think we need form a plan and soon. Running away is going to get us nowhere, and while I'm loathesome to take the fight to the Vong, it may just be necessary. You've dealt with them one-to-one - what do they value? I know they have a caste-system based on honor. We need to strike them where it will hurt them the most - by confronting the one who leads them. I believe he's called Tsavong Lah."

"How would you feel about coming with me to trying to defeat Lah in combat? If we can take him down, it may cause a ripple effect amongst the Vong. What do you think? "

Thanks Corran. *Makes a mattress from twigs covered with Cloak and lies down*

 

OOC: I knew being nice would get me in trouble *shrugs* oh well!

Corran Horn IC: he stares towards Luke smiles and says "Yes, Luke I will go with you, Myabe you can teach me some new Saber Techniques."

Corran thinks to himself " can we really beat him?? or will I hopelessy Die in Vain??"

He looks back at Luke and smiles trying to hide his doubt.

 

Mara heard what her husband was planning, Luke when are you leaving and what Can I do? I want to go with you.

 

Ornen felt something... The masters were planning something. He'd find a way to get in, no doubt, somehow...

 

Kev-Mas Colcha to Corran Horn:Hey, Corran, you know you can't hide your feelings from a master of the force. I am sure that Luke knows of your doubt. Try and show him that you doubt no more.

 

Luke sat down at the campsite beside Mara and explained his plan.

"I'm going to try and retake Yavin 4 with a small strike team of Jedi lead by Corran and myself. Normally, I'd want you with me but I feel that you'd be best utilised in rallying more Jedi to our cause."

He hoped Mara wouldn't feel rejected by his suggestion.

"I'll take Ornen and Jack with me; they fought well as a duo and I want to keep this team small for now. I'll explain more at first light, but for now, we should get some rest."

 

Lana's was doing better, and she was able to walk on it. She carefully made her way around, testing its strength.

As dusk settled, she sat beneath a tree to ponder on the recent events.

OOC: sorry for the extended leave... grounded for grades. ya know how it goes...

 

OOC: you can't blame a guy for trying.

Corran Horn IC: "I Figured I couldn't hide my insecurity." he looks towards Luke "But I can train harder to be sure that the Vong leader is eleminated."

"It's hard to believe that now this is my destiny, I've finnaly found my home."

all of a sudden all of Corran's doubt was gone the only feeling left was that of assurance and peace.

 

Kev-Mas Colcha:Hey. Right now Luke is preparing a team of Jedi to go scout out the place or something, while Mara is supposed to rally a bunch of Jedi to our cause.

BTW to corellian_chic:Grades can be kept up by regular study and homework, and by keeping track of assignments in something like a daily planner. I went from c's and d's to a's and b's by doing that.

 

Colcha: i am sooo disorganized. that and annoying teachers are the cause of my problems.

IC: Lana drifted off to sleep, listening to the chirping and crying of the myriad creatures of Dagobah.

 

Can I have a Ship and Astromech in this? If I can, here's the scene where I do.
IC:I realize that I forgot R2-X2 in the Crimson Dart, so I go off to my ship to get him, and a porta-loft. When I arrive at my ship, X2 is charging, full up with power, waiting for me to "wake him up".

I say,"X2, your power is full up! Stop charging", while I'm grabbing my porta-loft.
X2 comes to me saying in computer generated basic, "About time isn't it?" I say,"sorry X2, I was preoccupied. Why don't you come with me to my site. There's another astromech there, and I'd like you to meet it."

IC: I drift off to sleep.

 

OOC:cc242:Hey, at least you aren't being sent to 'Wyandotte Youth Support Academy' for 'searching for pornography on the internet'. Really, I didn't look at it... But I still have to go to the WYSA for three days. Anybody who's interested can go to Hooper McFinney's.

ICrnen walked around, aimlessly, not knowing what to do...

Kev-Mas Colcha:Hey, Ornen. You're supposed to be going with Luke's strike team of jedi's (you're one of them)to Yavin 4 and try and retake the place.

 

Ornen's interest perked up at that remark. Finally, some offense... He thought as he went off to search for Luke.

 

ALyson noticed movement through the force. She was due to come out of the healing trance anyway, so she decided to go see what was going on. She hobbled out of the hut, but before she could ask anything, she was being carried back to the hut through the force, she noticed Master Skywalker helping her back to the hut. She walked over to talk to her.

Mara looked up after she helped alyson to the tent, How are you feeling? Luke and a few of the Jedi are going to try to retake Yavin 4, I have to try to rally other jedi to our Cause, But I have no ideal where to look, I will be back in a minute I need to talk to Luke, She walked up to Luke where would I find more JEdi? I don't like staying behind but if it makes you feel better I will. MAra walked back over to Alyson Sorry about that.
