I'm one of the new guys and I have a question that perhaps Skye or SecretSister or someone else could answer.

In order for me to gain Ensign status, I have to be present for one whole JO thread, correct? I know that last one didn't count.

Am I right or totally out of it?

Don't worry, Troy, you don't have to wait that long to be promoted! Just post heaps in the RP, help with the missions and you'll be considered active enough to be promoted to ensign.

I'll field that one.

Ranks aren't based on how long you've been in the team. If it was, there are a few people who need to claim my job. Ranks are based on how you play the RP game. In the games we have missions and then other plot driving scenarios. At the end of each mission or when we need to, the High Council reviews how people have played the RP. First criteria is whether you played and how much. The more you play, the better your chance of promotion. Second, we also look for quality. Those that get promoted time and again are those that go above and beyond their character's status. Flight Officers that jump in and demonstrate leadership and good story are promoted very quickly. It's all about participation and content in the RP.

Simply put, play the RPG and you'll get promoted faster than you think.

 

Ah yes, the RPG thread over in the RP fourm. I've almost read the entire thing. It's very cool.

I was afriad to post in that one because I thought I had to wait for a new thread to start. Is there going to be a new RP fourm or can I jump in whenever I want to?

 

You can technically jump in whenever you wish, however we are also starting a new RP thread within two weeks tops. On the other side of the coin, the beginning of the new thread is rather personal and new characters in there might not be the best place.

My recommendation, since we are just about to wrap up this RP thread, is to come in, check into the RP thread as your character (and PM me and or SecretSister your character sheet) and then be there with us as we start the new thread. You are an Outcast, so you deserve to be there at the new thread's opening.

I have read the two sticky threads at the top of the RP fourm and I have begun making a character sheet for myself. I started it about a week ago when I first became a JO and SecretSister explained the RP fourm to me.

I'd like to be involved. Looks like I'll finish up my character fact sheet, PM it to you, and then wait for a "Tag: Anyone".
