The Phantom Page is sitting in his throne, with OPPM standing at his
side. Jon moves to look through a small section of the boards.

PHANTOM PAGE
From here you will witness the final
destruction of the JCC, and the end of
your insignificant Reformation.

Jon is in torment. He glances at his lightsabre sitting on the
armrest of the throne. The Phantom Page watches him and smiles,
touching the lightsaber.

PHANTOM PAGE
You want this, don't you? The hate is
swelling in you now. Take your Midbie weapon.
Use it. I am unarmed. Strike me down with it.
Give in to your anger. With each passing
moment, you make yourself more my servant.

OPPM watches Jon in his agony.

JON
Noooo!

PHANTOM PAGE
It is unavoidable. It is your destiny. You,
like your mentor, are now mine!

The Phantom Page, OPPM, and a horrified Jon watch the posting battle
fireworks in the browser window and on the viewscreens. Another Old Poster rants about the degradation of the JCC.

PHANTOM PAGE
As you can see, my young apprentice, your
friends have failed. Now witness the
posting power of this fully ignorant and confrontational
n00bie station. (into comlink) Post at will,
Comet.

Jon, in shock, looks out at the post count of the n00b Star to
the Oldbie fleet beyond.

In the browser window and on the view screens, the Oldbie fleet is
being decimated in blinding posts of stupidity and redundancy. But
in here there is no sound of arguments. The Phantom Page turns to Jon.

PHANTOM PAGE
Your fleet has lost. And your friends in the
Geriatric Ward will not survive. There is no
escape, my young apprentice. The JCC
will stagnate...as will your friends.

Jon's eyes are full of rage. OPPM watches him.

PHANTOM PAGE
Good. I can feel your anger. I am
defenseless. Take your weapon! Strike me
down with all your hatred, and your journey
towards the n00b side will be complete.

Jon can resist no longer. The lightsabre flies into his hand. He
ignites it in an instant and swings at the Phantom Page. OPPM's
lightsabre flashes into view, blocking Jon's blow before it can
reach the Phantom Page. The two blades spark at contact. Jon turns to
fight his mentor.

Jon and OPPM are engaged in a man-to-entity duel of lightsabres
even more vicious then the battle on episode-x. But the young Midbie
has grown stronger in the interim, and now the advantage shifts
to him. OPPM is forced back, losing his balance, and is knocked
down the stairs. Jon stands at the top of the stairs, ready to
attack.

PHANTOM PAGE (laughing)
Good. Use your aggressive feelings, boy! Let
the hate flow through you.

Jon looks momentarily toward the Phantom Page, then back to OPPM,
and realises he is using the n00b side. He steps back, turns off
his lightsabre, and relaxes, driving the hate from his being.

OPPM
Sapient has taught you well.

JON
I will not fight you, sensei.

OPPM walks back up the stairs to Jon.

OPPM
You are unwise to lower your defenses.

OPPM attacks, forcing Jon on the defensive. The young Midbie
leaps in an amazing reverse flip up to the safety of the catwalk
overhead. OPPM stands below him.

JON
Your thoughts betray you, sensei. I feel the
good in you...the conflict.

OPPM
There is no conflict.

JON
You couldn't bring yourself to ban me
before, and I don't believe you'll perma-ban me
now.

OPPM
You underestimate the power of the n00b side.
If you will not spam, then you will meet
your destiny.

OPPM throws the laser sword and it cuts through the supports
holding the catwalk, then returns to OPPM's hand. Jon tumbles
to the ground in a shower of sparks and rolls out of sight under
the Phantom Page's platform. OPPM moves to find him.

PHANTOM PAGE (laughs)
Good. Good.

OPPM stalks the low-ceilinged area on the level below the

 

*watches from the open doorway*




That was epic.

The phantom page used to be an ongoing game with the outcasts. The first person to kill the phantom page and become first poster of a new page had bragging rights.........

And I remember pwning you all just about every time.

I had to christen the new thread with something big. I just wish I hadn't posted it so late. Now it's just going to be buried with tomorrow's influx of posts.

I have family in North Dakota and boy does it get cold up there. And they're very old so every time I do visit, I'm shoveling snow for hours. I don't like it too much. Snow is fun, but not shoveling it.

And I'm very happy right now for some odd reason. I honestly have no idea why. Strange...

 

If I didn't know any better, I'd say you're whining there, Jon. You don't want to be known as a whiner, now do you?

 

It's ok, no one will remember him as a whiner because his post will be overshadowed by the influx of posts from tomorrow.

Just a short history on myself. Raced go-karts for seven years, played Soccer for two years and Baseball for one year as a kid. Played football for all four years in High School. I like World History and I watch the History Channel like it's the Bible. I am currently a Volunteer Fire Fighter and I am currently in EMT-Basic training right now.

You will find out two things about me here very quickly. A, I can't shut up and love to talk. And B, I always make trouble in the RPG thread.
