I shall read and absorb as much as I can. All my theories are contrivences of my own whimsical notions.

BTW, La...uh...Guillermo...you'd better take that TAG.

This is why I am co-GM. Sel keeps the interpersonal stuff going (because I'm such a good candidate for sociability  :p ) while I make sure what people are doing is actually possible in the SW realm. I have had to let slide a few things in the spirit of things, but there are other times I put my foot down and say "physics says no"

Pity me then, Laine. I'm not yet out of high school. :p

Actually, I think I've got the basic grasp of the concept. That doesn't mean however, that my brain's stopped hurting.

Sedgie, dear, you must realize that Maria Louisa Guadalupe is a delicate, ethereal being and cannot take the weight of anyone but her hubby. Be civilized...:p

Well, in a universe where light can be stopped three feet from an emitter and used a sword, physics has to say whatever once in a while.

I liked physics class in high school. Maybe I'll take it for the science class I have to take. If they'll allow it. Blah, blah, blah.

Ah, I don't pity you, Blade. You seem to be a smart fellow. You'll do all right. Science just isn't my hottest cup of tea, that's all. English is.

I took Physics. It was fun. Lightsabres are possible. What do you think a laser scalpel is? They just gotta make it BIGGER! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Except it's not just light. It's light suspended in a refractive confinement sheath that inverts on itself at a certain wavelength.

Granted that's not quite possible to our knowledge either, but the light in lightsabers is more of a byproduct. The true energy that does all the cutting and such is more of a plasmatic energy beam.

    edit:

Actually Sel, Laser scalpels usually have a blade of sorts within to act as a guide for the laser. It's not quite the same as a lightsaber as they still need a physical core. Close though.

Ah, the old 'how the heck are lightsabre's possible.

Reminds me, I actually heard they'd figured out a way to slow a bea of light to a stop. My first thought was: "Now, can they make one arc back in a closed loop that sustains itself that is in a device the size of a sword hilt?" :p

Sure, it just needs a cable attached to a collider ring the size of a footbal field.

What do we agree on Jon? (darn you two having both blue names)

Okay fine, so it was Michelle I spoke to about laser scalpels. And stop using the other names, it confuses me too much.

    Tag back.

Oh, that makes sense, that light is the byproduct of the plasmatic beam. That actually makes sense.

Is this the stuff you studied for a living, Skye?

Yeah, we have a regular door. It's next to where we installed the RDOD.

Which is near the Stargate, which is near the FAMPing landing platform, which is near Blade's instrument fort...:p
