Well! I've got my problem with this comp solved, and would you believe...it was a new upgrade in the Norton antivirus that was causing it? Plus, the cable company had to fix its lines...or something like that.

Yeah, yeah, Josh. I'll probably be making the new thread tomorrow or Sunday. Don't worry about it. I had to take care of that ^^^ problem first.

I got the first skirt done today. It looks fantastic

 

They certainly did this time, Lank! There was a cable problem and Time Warner fixed that, but I had to go to aol to find out why it still wouldn't let me on - even after I uninstalled and reinstalled the thing. Almost the first question the guy asked was "Do you have Norton?" I said yes. Then he explained about the upgrade and walked me through clearing the problem. I bet they've had a million calls about it.

Congratulations, Norton! Ten lashes with a wet noodle for you!

Somehow, I don't see that as very frightening, Sis. But I'm glad you managed to get the matter straightened out. I'm thinking of goign with a different AV solution when my Norto expires anyway.
