Agile Horse: Wait, do you mean you read the thread title to mean Liam had died? I would've been just as shocked as you if it'd been the case. I'm glad you misread it. I am not inclined to physical discipline, Padawan. No worries. Far as majorish Saga actors dying, I strongly suspect Sir Christopher Lee will be next or least ways relatively soon. On virtue of his age; not that I wish anyone ill. Hello, Grand Master! *Bows*
*grins* Yes, that's what I had thought they had meant. I think I may have died. And don't say that! That just makes me sad
Agile Horse: It makes me sad as well. I have much respect for the elderly gentlemen that dare show they are still of value and engage with things and I see Christopher as such a one. If a tad on the arrogant side at times (re: his book )
Despite his sometimes forbidding demeanor, Christopher is rather funny, yes, even with his arrogance. Yet, it seems strange to me that I feel this way because usually I DON'T see arrogance as amusing in the least.
Yes i think i saw Mr Lee at an awards show last year and i was shocked at how slow and tired he seemed. Not the man i remember from AOTC and Lord of the Rings.
I saw a clip from the beginning of the year at some award show and I noticed that he was moving *very* slowly and with a *cane*. That got my attention. Frankly, I'm surprised he's done as well as he has for as long as he has. I think it's wonderful too. Yet, he's clearly slowing down and beginning to struggle a bit with focus/comprehension. I noted that on another recent clip of some kind of Q and A talk. It's kinda sad. I'm not knocking Mr Lee in the least. Especially given that he's 89, I still think he's doing well. However, it does seem evident he's winding down.
Of course! I mean no disrespect either, just sharing what I have observed. He's done so much in his life her deserves to slow down I think
Ree: I know you didn't. I completely agree with you. His age is definitely being reflected clearly now but I think it's well deserved and I hope his twilight goes well with him. Gunny: I think that's a bit extreme. I'm 29 and I do *much* worse than Sir Chris on the movement issue (with cause). However, I appreciate your seeming accepting manner that slowing down with age is natural.
I'm sore and tired now- what am I going to be like at 89?! It's ok, I will use the Force to give me strength.
Ree: Exactly. I think reaching such an age is quite a blessing. Glad you have a positive attitude about aging.
Hey everyone! I hope you're all aware that the Boards will begin moving on March 21st which is not too far away! (A bit short notice I think). Make sure your private email address is up to date so you can be sent your new password for the new site and any other updates.
