Yeah 40 degrees is nice but 11 and 8 with high winds is a little brisk. I lost a aunt to the weather in January. Back in the sixties they had a big push for all electric homes which is fine until the electricity goes off.

 

How often does it dip below 40 down there?

 

most nights in January and February. We've had several ice storms that knocked out the electricity.for several days and once for over a week. We've had two snow storms of over three inches in April. Our problem isn't snow it's ice even northerners come south are surprised.

 

A lot of places in the South don't have an adequate infrastructure for cold weather. That's going to be more and more of a problem as global warming increases. I do have a tendency to laugh at people who don't know how to drive in snow but, as you pointed out, cold weather is nothing to laugh at.

 

For some odd reason, I really like the cold weather. I truly despise hot weather and prefer cold weather.

 

I feel the same, CY.

 

I've had dark thoughts of maybe joining the sith order club. Either the sith or jedi order I'm thinking of joining. Leaning more towards sith but I might join the jedi.

 

I bet the Sith have more parties.

 

They at least get more drunk.

 

I wouldn't be too sure about that. The Jedi start drinking at an earlier age.
