It's a recap of past week's rumors. Nothing new.

 

All jokes aside, I just gotta say this. It's insane that this thread 2 weeks ago drove me into a completely cynical state about this movie, and now I'm 3 times more excited than I was than when I saw the 2nd teaser. Has this happened to anybody else here?

 

I see, sometimes I listen if its worth it, I guess this weeks is one to give a miss on?

Star Wars without lightsabers sounds kinda dumb to me. But to each his own.

 

I think it's solid to say Luke has at most 2 scenes in the movie - Flashback, and the very end. I'm finally accepting that fact. This has been said before but I think it will be fine in the end because the whole film will be building up to that point and it will be very satisfying, especially with Williams' score driving that point.

That is kind of disappointing sice Luke's theme is some of the best music ever created!

 

God forbid I change my mind about the plot point thats outraging so many people on this board (including myself from months ago.)

I think it will work because I trust the filmmakers, deal with it.

Exactly. If the story is well executed, who cares? If it's not, we'll gripe like it's the PT all over again.

 

Luke's theme is just the Star Wars theme. Which is the end credits music. So that rumor is suggesting Luke's theme... leads into Luke's theme.

Which, I mean, I guess that could happen. I'm sure there's a cool variation that can be done there, especially considering we don't know what Rey's theme will sound like (which will likely be blended into that final sequence, I'd imagine), or if that theme is going to be a riff on the Star Wars theme itself, which might make the transition a little more interesting. Who knows.

But a slower, dramatic version of the Star Wars theme heading directly into a faster, happy version of the same theme seems like it COULD be redundant on the face of it.

But guaranteed you're going to hear Luke's theme more than just the once. You'll hear it at least three times. When the movie starts, when the movie ends - and I'd imagine it'll play when you see him.

 

Not mine. But he has once had the audacity to fart in my face. SBD. So anything is possible.

 

I guess it's only a matter of time before some choice members decide to divide us by labeling us by some bs term like "anti-Skywalkers" or something, haha.
