He did speak about the first viewing with the Exec's but not the final.

Exactly, I want to know what they thought of the FINAL cut. lol

However, it's probably lose lose in that instance.
If they love it and people are over hyped there's a chance for people getting let down. If they were meh to it it'd bring bad press.

Well Lucasfilm and Disney are pretty much the execs. It would be different if Abrams was directing a brand new property, but since he's tight with KK and Bob Iger, they won't be worried about that stuff at all.

In early drafts of ROTJ Obi-Wan and Yoda returned from the dead to fight the Emperor and not as Force ghosts but actual flesh and blood beings. It's a wacky idea for sure but for some reason it appeals to me for Anakin to return like that to start the films story. I think it'd be interesting if Lor San Tekka were to die without us really knowing who this strange old man in the desert really was only for him to return later in the ST to reveal he was Anakin all along.

Vader is one of my all-time favorite characters. They really need to move away from him though.

The early draft of Obi-Wan and Yoda returning was interesting in the sense that it mirrored Gandalf in LOTR but it would been a weak story in the end IMO particularly since it made Luke's arc a lot less meaningful.

Never look directly at the Sun. And never, ever look at the Sun in the Mirror.

It's a good job that we have so many Forum Members here with direct ties to the production that can dispute these claims straight off the bat

Nothing against John who seems like a cool guy but I rather listen/see Natalie in this case. Then again I could listen/watch Natalie read the phone book over pretty much anything! :D

She was at D23. She's all over the TV spots and trailers. All of which came well after Abrams could have changed his mind and removed or replaced her work.

The only credentials needed to ignore this story is a little common sense.

You think someone made it up? They said scenes were cut and she had to redo some of the dialogue. They have not dropped her entirely.

Gotta love the picture they used for Abrams in this article.

I actually think this might end up being true. Lupita's line deliveries as heard in the trailers have been pretty cringe-worthy, unfortunately (IMO).

They cut her out of the movie and still put her on the freaking poster? Sounds legit. :p

Redoing dialogue is a normal part of film making. Scenes being reworked and cut is a normal part of film making. The idea that a trim here and there is a story is ridiculous, and it's bizarre that people who have been following the production are going along with a tabloid narrative that is simply "let's try to slag off the Oscar winner"

Aside from anything else, the story makes no sense. "She struggled with the CG"? What do they even mean by that?

She has a pivotal role, if there was a problem with her performance, it would have been resolved long ago.
