Interesting thoughts everyone... I like to think that anything that we see throughout the SW universe including EU, TCW, and movies can be an example of what is possible in regards to the force. Just my thoughts in regards to Luke, if you look at what he did in ROTJ. Luke was incredibly strong in the force to be able to defeat both Vader and Sidious. Luke if given the training could easily have accomplish feats we see throughout the EU, TCW , and other SW tales... When you think about his development and the resources available to him he may not as been as flashy as some other examples of force use that we see throughout the EU and other SW tales, but his power and prowess were there and that is what helped him be successful in that setting.

I think you can then relate that to force users across the SW universe and timespan to extents.
