Notes: Having been inspired by the Teaser Trailer for ROTS, I was driven to write this short fic. It's based, in part, upon the Mesopotamian myth called "The Descent of Inanna." Inanna was the Queen of Heaven, the goddess of grains, fertility, order, war, love, heaven and earth, healing and emotions, the ?Lady of Myriad Offices" who descended into the Underworld and underwent a series of trials. It's also inspired by other myths regarding the descent into the underworld such as the Greek myths of Orpheus, Psyche and Persephone and most especially a folktale from Scotland called "The Stolen Bairn and the Sidh". It is, therefore, written in the style of such myths and folktales.
