Hello, and welcome to the New SWC Official Count Dooku/Darth Tyranus Fanclub. This is not another version of a club founded by someone else, but a fresh beginning. This is meant to be a place for topics and activities within the Star Wars Galaxy that only concern our beloved Count and Sith Lord.
Christopher Lee topics are also welcomed in this thread.

This is meant to be a fun place for all Count Dooku/Darth Tyranus fans. Please, feel free to socialize. Relax, and make yourself at home here.

I missed Sir Christopher Lee's birthday 2 days ago.

In my opinion, a better person could not have been chosen for the part of Count Dooku than Christopher Lee.

Favorite Count Dooku moments, anyone? I liked the scene in AOTC when the Count told Obi-Wan about the Sith Dark Lord, Sidious, and his control over the Senate. Count Dooku was right, but the Jedi didn't believe him. They had to learn the hard way for themselves.

 

Sir Christopher Lee is such a kind, pleasant fellow. How did he manage to get so many evil roles?

 

I like the actor that voiced our beloved Count in SW CW. True, he isn't Sir Christopher Lee, but he is close enough. he does an excellent job.

 

I don't like Vampires, so I skipped all those Dracula films Sir Christopher Lee was in. I'm sure he did an excellent job though.

 

I am a fan of the Count.

I like Dooku because of his Form II lightsaber style. I always thought his "fencing-like" style looked classy in combat.

I agree, Rainbow. I couldn't have thought of a better actor to play Dooku, other than Chris Lee. He's a pro!

Dooku is my second favourite character in the Saga,

and one of the reasons I liked AOTC

Club Speaker? Hmmm, I never thought about having one of those before.

The Count still lives on in our imaginations, even if the films and books say he's dead.

 

Does anyone have any favorite Count Dooku moments from the movies, books, video games, ETC that you wish to share?

what is everybody's favourite Count Dooku scene?

 

Mine is definitely Dooku's duel with Yoda in Ep. II. I remember thinking that his lightsaber form looked really cool while Yoda was flying about in the air.

I have 2.

The whole duel in AOTC

and the scene where he interrogates Obi-Wan kenobi,

the scene was very well done by both actors.

We needed more intense scenes like that in the saga.

 

Ditto on the interrogation scene. I totally forgot about that one.

Chris Lee and Ewan McGregor were excellent.

 

Actually, the interrogation was the first thing that popped to mind.

I do definitely admire his wit and polished/refined 'air'. Though that is due in large part to Christopher Lee.

I am of the opinion that the PT, while providing a nice and tidy (depending on your point of view) space opera for fans, tended to shy away from exploring jedi and sith interrelations, with Dooku being a fine example.

anyway

not here to discuss the PT, but I wanted to explain in what sense I feel that Dooku was an underutilized character in the movies.

On many levels, even though Dooku turned his back on the Jedi, I fully understand the reasons why he did and I could see myself following in his footsteps if I were in his shoes, so to speak. He had the right idea, but the way he went about it was backwards. In the end, it was tragic to witness his fall. Perhaps if Qui-Gon had lived, Dooku would have found the strength to remain in the light.

Does anyone have a first name for the Count?

 

All I know him by is Count Dooku, and his Sith Lord name Darth Tyranus.

The AOTC sceen with Obi-Wan and Count Dooku is my favorite Dooku moment. I am of the opinion that our beloved Count died to soon. However, he lives on in our imaginations.

 

Any Sith Lord is a friend of mine. Count me in if there's room.
