I notice that though that was the lowest rated Oscars in years, it still was top of the week.

 

Nothing on a weekly basis is going to top 30 million viewers, with the exception of maybe CSI or Grey's Anatomy in their heydays or an American Idol finale.

More yelling at insanity time!! Unfortunately for me, there was no real good shows on this week so bleh.

 

"How I Met Your Mother" in at #12 because of Britney. Interesting to see what it's numbers for next week will be.

 

Game shows, and reality, mostly.

 

It puzzles me to see CSI: Miami that high.

 

It's CSI, people love to see other people pay for killing other people.

 

People also like to see gore and CSI can be pretty gruesome at times.

 

True, seems to me like they should have run out of plot points by now though.

My take is the preponderance of reality TV is a lingering side effect of the writer's strike.

do we count dvr and tivo now in the ratings? Cause I have a few shows on dvr, like The Office, Lost, Greys anatomy, Criminal minds.

I just don't have the time anymore, to watch them when they first air and I'll usually watch them when I get home or the next day. I love dvr, no commericals.
