With those aside, the book was phenomenal, think alittle Donnie Darko meets alittle The Basketball Diaries meets alittle of American Beauty meets alittle Turn of the Screw. Depicts a similar suburban America on the Halloween anniversary of a tragedy that ended three teenage lives, left one physically scarred and brain damaged with the mental capacity of a child, and the last haunted and afflicted.

The book visits their parents and friends and the survivors (of course), and the middle-aged police officer that was the first one to respond whose career is shattered by what he saw that windy Hallow's Eve evening a year ago.

Now on the anniversial eve of that tragic night, a dark remembrance is brewing in the New England suburb of Avon.

A phenomenal book that's not easy to describe in simple words.
