About the newest Rebel Magazine comic, It's possible that the shuttle they stole is the one used in Stealth Strike. For now, I'm placing it before that episode on my timeline.

While we know that Empire day definitely takes place in 4 BBY, it might not be the first episode to be so. The Clone Wars animatics, Son of Dathomir, and Dark Disciple taking place in 19 BBY seem to indicate that RotS (therefore Empire Day) don't take place until weeks or even months into the calendar year. Likewise, A Princess on Lothal might take place early enough in 3 BBY to precede Empire Day.

The original timeline had ROTS occurring in the equivalent of May on the 12-month calendar system, IIRC- effectively real time since the BOG.

I found some of the interludes interesting for sure. Maybe the problem was I cared more about the ppl in the interludes than the people in the main story, ha.

The latest Rebels Comic is out. A return to form and interesting comic despite not featuring any of the main rebels cast. This is a Kallus' centric comic called No Sympathy
the story starts on board the star destroyer, Relentless approaching the planet Thrad. Kallus is in talks with a captain. they had tracked the signal from the stolen imperial shuttle to the planet. Kallus wants the blockade to ensure all weapons are on stun so the rebel group can be interrogated.

Kallus arrives in the planet where the shuttle is quickly located, no-one onboard. Kallus is frustrated that the rebel called Swain is hiding like a coward. We then next see to ISB agents, Swain (female) and Cogon watching Kallus. They are in fact defected ISB agents bemoaning their luck with Kallus on their heels. Cogon feels they should have tried some sabotage before they left Lothal.

The pair are then interrupted by a Thradian called Benedda (male) urging them to come with him. He then starts a holo-chat with Senator Tural (who has been seen before in senate perspective) and then killed off in SW Annual). She tells the 2 former ISB agents that she has prepared transport and to meet up with a rebel cell on Klonoid. She also says that she has the right clearance to get past the imperial blockade.

Tural compliments Benedda on his work to help the defectors, he needs to erase the transmission logs. Tural recalls how her eyes were opened with what happened on Lothal (recalling Senate Perspective) . Suddently - BOOM!! explosion as a TIE fighter attacks. Cogon shoot backs piercing the front window and killing the pilot taking down the craft. Kallus is then on the scene approaching the hide-out and blocking their. Only 1 way out to jump out of the hole made by the TIE. the 2 ISB's jump but Benedda is hurt by the firing stormtroopers.

Benedda is arrested and Kallus wants him in custody. Kallus then jumps out of the window in pursuit of the defectors. He quickly catches up and confronts Swain. this then triggers a 3 way fight as Cogon dives at Kallus knocking him down. Swain then has the opportunity to berate Kallus on how she now sees the Empire following her stint on Lothal. This proves to be a bad move as the stormtroopers catch up and stun Cogon and allows Kallus to fight back. Master v Student as a punch fight follows. Swain gets a good uppercut, but Kallus whips out a small blaster and stuns Swain.

as she lies down a ship leaves the city and instructs the star destroyer to be on alert. they fire it out of orbit and is crashes back down on the planet. Kallus notes that this is why the rebels will never win because they lack the resolve and unwillingness to give everything to win. there can be no sympathy.

Swain is gathered up and taken by to the star destroyer. Later that day Kallus makes a holo call to Lord Vader himself who seems very pleased with Kallus's work. He even tells him that he will personally notify the emperor. End.

A good tale I thought, the more Kallus we get the better and to see him so ruthless makes a difference to the actual series. timeline wise, hard to place really. when i first read it, following on from last months comic, is the stolen shuttle supposed to be the same one that Kanan stole? possibly. but that works extremely well with Stealth Strike. either way, 2 shuttles are stolen. good to Tural back and now a key rebel supporter in the senate.

The preview for Vader #16 establishes the Vader Annual as taking place before Vader Down. Since Aphra is out of the picture and Vader has BT and 000 with him, the only time I can think of the Vader Annual taking place is concurrent with Vader #7, when Aphra is recruiting bounty hunters for the raid over Anthan Prime. The droids are pretty much with her every moment otherwise.

Some really useful news for us Rebels fans out there. I was looking through the wiki regarding their rebels timeline as it tends to alter a bit from our discussions. However when digging deeper i came across this page: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Forum:SH:Timeline_of_Star_Wars_Rebels_Events

a rebels timeline has been more of less established regarding the Comics after a fairly comprehensive input from Martin Fisher. i will take this as genuine until shown otherwise, but an email from Fisher to a fan here: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Rebels_comics_timeline/Email_from_Martin_Fisher reveals the order for season 1 of Rebels with comics.
eyes on the prize was later confirmed to fit in between Gathering Forces and Path of the Jedi by Jeremy Barlow.

    here is the email:

I hope so too, it would save me a lot of space storing all these comics! Some are genuinely excellent though.

Good relations with Martin Fisher, I have. ;) 'Cause yes, I am the fan in question. And thus I assure you the email is genuine. I can provide a screenshot (with addresses edited out) if you like. Since new Rebels comics will keep coming, I'll keep asking Fisher as they go.

Ha Ha! then kudos to you my good sir! Proof is not needed my friend.

Im surprised that Secrets of Sinear didnt tie in with the stolen imperial shuttle seen in Stealth Strike, and that Learning Patience takes place after Ring Race considering the level of Ezra's force abilities, but who am I to question. this is canon order.

FYI In terms of some missed out entries from this time period. the game, Strike Missions ties in with Empire Day i think as it shows the grand inquisitor on Lothal. Recon Missions is a tad harder as a newer update includes Tano, but that itself isnt canon. I have this game just after Vision of Hope but before Tarkin turns up, the Rebels attempt to make a base after a series of victories which Tarkin then eradicates.

There is also the weird Rebels to the Rescue young readers story which is so far the only canon young readers story. takes place before Empire Day.

I really like the web comic, I hope that one day it will be printed, but as someone pointed out, it is designed to work on a web browser, scrolling down.

anyway bit late this month but Rebels comic #15 came out last Wednesday. New comic entitled: A Day's Duty

a fairly bland entry this month. it tells the story of Ezra being placed in the care of Commander Sato on Phoenix Home. the Ghost crew are off to the planet Crandel (no idea if this is a new planet).

Sato tells Ezra that one day the entire fleet could be in his hands and he must learn the same techniques he has learnt on board the Ghost. This conversation is interrupted by a ginger haired kid of same age of Ezra called Mizel Porndak. He is a kultz, falling over being pretty useless on board the ship. he doesnt follow protocol and is warned by sato. He is very pleased to meet Ezra and both are shown how the engine and reactor systems work on a CR90 corvette.

whilst working Mizel tells Ezra how he was inspired by Ezra's message from season 1. His own family were very pro-empire but he saw the truth and ran.

inspirations stories shared, believe in your self crap, Mizel not doing the connections on the reactor properly, corrected by Ezra, warned by Sato. Incoming TIES attacking the ship, reactor battery needs fixing, ezra confident in Mizel's ability. connects it just in time, Ghost destroys TIES, hyperspace now working etc. bit cliched.

back on board Sato congratulates Mizel and Kanan tells Ezra that he go back to being the student not the teacher.

so nothing major, we saw a bit of alliance life. could go anywhere in the timeline I suppose, no real clues as far as I could make out. Any help LelalMekha

Any word on where "No Sympathy" from SWR Mag #14 is definitively placed?

Thanks again for posting that placement info, incredibly helpful for us continuity nerds. :)

Thanks to Hamawald, The Positive Fan you can insert into your timeline the Adventures in wild Space series at 4 years post Empire day. until something is more concrete this seems to be the timeline placement.

Cavan Scott told me that the series' placement should become much clearer with the release of book three, The Steal.
