That's why I use ESPN3. Death before World Cup interruption!
Luis Suárez moved to Barcelona, not New York.
Yeah you can run the tornado warning at the bottom fairly prominently. Luckily these people could have kept watching online, though I'm not sure from their Twitter comments that they realized this.
this read has been a lot of fun to read. sad the tournament is over
Another great story about the German's team spirit: when Klose was subbed off for Götze, rather than hang his head a walk off dejectedly, Klose went over to Götze and told him him was going to win the match for Germany.
A friend in Lausanne sent this to me. A few weeks out of date, but still funny:
Well. See you all again in 4 years.
Love how your contribution is to show up at the end and show people just how uncultured you are.
Awesome. I really was impresses with the teamwork Germany displayed. And while I was a little sad to see Klose go off, it wasn't surprising and obviously wasn't a bad move. It's great that he was so supportive of Goetze.
Approximately 400,000 people at the Brandenburger Tor in Berlin for the celebration today, really amazing
It was a really great way to end an amazing month. I've watched players like Lahm and Schweinsteiger develop over the last decade, it's really been wonderful seeing them finally take this last step.
One last one
see, germans getting really intense and working each other up by yelling about "the fatherland/deutscheland" is another thing that makes non-aryans really nervous
You can do better than this, Mike. Our 8yo made a Nazi joke after the Germans won, and we told him off. Do you need telling off too?
I'd think you could have at least done a quick photoshop job on the picture of Schweisteiger and removed his left arm.
Mike, you're actually worse than VLM at this point.
Oh so soccer player dive off-field too?
im only half joking. im pretty sure germans arent allowed to have national pride anymore because they've proven they get way the **** too carried away with it. dont get me wrong, i wish more countries would put down the nationalism, but germans... germans are like your uncle who's a pretty nice guy since he got sober but still gets left off the guest list for the weddings just in case because last time he overdid the alcohol and wound-up molesting a flower girl and setting the groom on fire
i like the way you think
Besides your anus, what is your source for the above?

Sadly, having grown up as the only person of German descent in a largely Italian-American neighborhod, you're not the first ignorant, dimwitted jackass making comments like that that I've had to deal with. That your comments lack even the slightest iota of originality is pretty much par for the course.
You dance well, though.
Yeah, I'm a little over Americans making Nazi comments too, as like the standard default for anything German. The volume of tweets using the word during the US-DEU game wasn't so much disgraceful as it was symptomatic of how stupid and lazy some people are.
Honestly Mike, you fail so hard this time around I doubt you lift.
Who's the bitterest man in the living room? The bitterest man in the living room?
Which is hilarious coming from Italians, of all people.
Eh, WWII has a funny way of making people forget truths. Italians forget which side they were on, Americans forget how they sat on the sidelines profiting from the war for 2 years before getting involved, the Russians forget how the Finnish beat them to a standstill...
