My favorite part of the holiday is Christmas Eve when baby Jesus flies through the keyhole to decorate the tree and deliver presents. Sometimes he pops the cork and fills champagne flutes on his way back out.

 

I would so be a Christian, if that was the nativity story.

 

I think it's cool that they do it this way in Austria. Instead of having the lie of Santa Claus unmasked at a tender age, leading to a life of alcoholism, unemployment and clinical depression, the lie of baby Jesus is unmasked, leading to enlightened atheism and an eventual PhD in biochemistry.

For the last decade or so, the LA Clippers and Lakers will go on a two week road trip for games since the Grammys have used the Staple Center for their awards show. In 2018 the Grammy awards are going back to Madison Square Garden

I had to order Christmas cards today

I listened to this today and it gave me great solace.

Has anyone thought about re-constructing Christmas? Re-figured around incidents like the wise men, we could significantly purge capitalist elements and stress actual virtues. I feel strange today.

 

Why would you want to taint the biggest Capitalist Celebration of the year with religion?

 

Yeah the consumer products segment of the economy would come undone. Why do you want to cause a recession?

I certainly hope this coming Christmas is better than last Christmas when everyone in my family got norovirus except for myself. I was Howard Hughsing it up.
