Hopefully, I'm not jinxing anything, but with two full rounds of Group Stage play done, we've had exactly zero 0-0 results so far in this World Cup. This is the furthest a World Cup has gone in the 32-team era without having a scoreless affair.

in 1998, Paraguay and Bulgaria played to a scoreless draw in their opening match in Group D, one of three scoreless games we'd have by this point.
In 2002, we only had two scoreless games in the Group Stages - France and Uruguay, in the second round of games in Group A, and Nigeria and England in their final group F game.
In 2006, Trinidad and Tobago and Sweden were both held scoreless to open up group play in Group B, leading to five group stage games that would play out to a 0-0 scoreline.
In 2010, Uruguay and France (again) got the first 0-0 result, this time on the first day of the tournament. That was a tale of things to come, as we'd have six scoreless games in the Group Stages.
In 2014, Iran and Nigeria were the first in their opening match of Group F, one of five scoreless games in the Group Stages.

So, the low bar is two scoreless group stage games, set in 2002. Hopefully, 2018 can go even lower!

What a world cup for the "big" squads! Germany match was INSANE. That last minute Kroos kick. And I almost cried at the end of Brasil's last match.

I am afraid we won't make it till the top. Willian was terrible, he couldn't finish a play for his life. Douglas Costa was way better he changed our tide when he entered the pitch, but now he's injured and I think Tite will bring Willian back. Also, we are using our 3rd left back Fagner (Daniel Alves didn't even go to Russia and Danilo got injured too after the first match).

Well, we shall see. Now for Uruguay x Russia.
