Could have been a brilliant final if the ref hadnt blown it twice to France’s benefit. They turned it up a nitcg when they needed to in the second half, but overall, given the talent they have, I found them incredibly underwhelming.

 

Pogba and Mbappe were great, as expected, but as a whole... yeah, expected more.

 

France were rightful winners but they did have a lot of good luck in that game. A goal scored for them by a Croatian, a controversial penalty goal, Pogba's blocked shot coming back nicely to him for a second and successful shot. England would have beaten Croatia if they had the same luck France had.

 

So as a lot of the French team are migrants, is Le Pen happy or...?

True story. The Légion d'Honneur is nicknamed that in military circles - "l'eau chaude" - because of its red ribbon, while the Ordre du Mérite (order of Merit) is "l'eau froide" (fresh tapwater) because of the blue ribbon.
