The Official Banner Help Thread - Style Sheet Needed!

The username colour is in keeping with the Trandoshan up in the banner. That's where it comes from if you were wondering.

 

Yeah, I did notice that. However I think that tone doesn't look quite right in that pallette.

 

Okay, here's my Banner I was working on.
It's for the SWC.

I finnaly get how to do style sheets! Woo!
And I've cut it up too, so its all ready to be put up.

But I'm open for suggestions to improve it.

Also working on a Reble Alliance one...hopefully it will come out nice...

Nice work, helinth. If you wanted some feedback, to me, the text just doesn't work. It's far to straight-forward when it's that size. Maybe some different fonts or elements (underlines) around the text would help?

Also, the text and the curve image have very jagged edges. Hiding that (smoothing? anti-alias?) would be a big plus. What program do you have for image editing?

These are just suggestions like you asked for.

Reynar_Tedros made it months and months ago for the RPF banner competition, which is technically still ongoing, but this is the first chance we've gotten to get it up.

 

Finaly came back to do some more work on the banner- made a few font changes and smoothed the text. (I like leaving things for ages and then coming back to them- fresh eyes as it were)

I use Coral Paint Shop Pro Photo X1- any ideas how to smooth that curve a little?

 

helinith, I know this is a little late, but I am really digging the style sheet on your theme. I've always like those colors and your put them together in a very nice way. Also, the change you made to the font on the main.jpg section of it is a lot better, IMO.

I wish I had the time to make a banner, I always enjoyed the challenge.
