The Official Boba Fett:A New Threat discussion thread

Just found this on amazon.co.uk, it appears to be book 5 in the ongoing series, just who could this new threat in the title be? A possible young Han Solo vieing for Jabba's atention would be cool!!

 

Russel, this was on the Clone Wars timeline.

Young Boba Fett's next target is Wat Tambor, Foreman of the Techno Union, on the planet Xagobah. There, Fett discovers a powerful new threat to the Republic.


Just some thoughts of mine which I'll highlight for those who dont want to read them:

Wat Tambor obviously survives this attack, since Hyperspace and the EP3 databank confirm his return to the film. Whatever happens in the book though, Fett obviously helps hinder the Separatists new weapon/threat which they hope to use against the Republic.

 

Seems pretty close to Episode III timeline wise.

I haven't read any of the books and am quite frankly a bit wary of the books that scholastic puts out. Maybe someday I'll get them used or something.

The BF series have been good reads, even if they have a simply writing style due to the age category their aimed at.

Is this before or after Anakin captures Tambor on Metalorn?

 

New Droid Army occurs at 10 months ABG, Wat escapes from his prison 2 weeks later (as reported in HNN) and Boba Fett #5 occurs 31 months ABG.

 

I see. When does the next Boba Fett book come out?

 

The date given in the link on my OP was April 2004!!

Yeah, there's only two BF books a year- April and Fall, so 5 will be in April, and we'll get the last book in fall 04. Hopefully they'll give us one more after the original 6 for April 05...

Wouldn't that make it post-Episode III? III being only 24 months ABG, I mean.
