Nothing since October 26th??

Today is the last day of the Holiday Ale Fest, my favorite beer festival in Portland. I went all day Friday and had a ton of good beer. Anyone on my untappd probably saw a bunch of check-ins. Going back today for a little while before the Timbers game. I'll try to list out the ones I've tried.

 

What's your username on Untappd? I'm always down for new beer buddies!

My bar did their Bourbon County release yesterday and it was insanity. I dropped by around 1:00 and had the special Goose Island flight of the 2015 stout, 2015 barleywine, Regal Rye (brewed with luxardo cherry juice, blackberries, and sea salt), and 2013 Matilda Lambiscus.
Then I went back to work the night shift and it was just silly busy but we made baaaank and treated ourselves to a bottle of the Siren/Cigar City collab Caribbean Chocolate Cake and then Stone's Sorry Not Sorry IPA. I really ****ing love working at that bar.

 

I have had a few really good ones lately, and have a nice bottle in am going to enjoy while watching Doctor Who later. I'll post more details in a bit.

Sounds like from the Dr. Who thread, you're gonna need a **** ton of beer to get through the episode.

 

I have a bomber of an Imperial stout. And a couple of others. I'm pretty excited for the evening.

Heading down to Cigar City this weekend. Also a likely stop at Rapp Brewing, Dunedin and 7venth Sun. Can't wait. If I can I will post some reviews of the of the notable beers.

7venth Sun! Jealous! I had a strawberry chocolate stout from them a few months ago and it's one of the best beers I've ever tried. I was less impressed by the IPAs I tasted but holy cow that stout...

 

Yeah, they are very hit or miss. But their hits are great.

I dunno them! I feel like I need to take a trip to Belmont Station, our best bottle shop.

 

Just arrived at the Cigar City tasting room. Got a flight with Cranberry Grove, Raspberry Grove, Cask Conditioned Apple Cinnamon IPA, and Dark Woods (Old Ale brewed with molasses and vanilla bourbon barrel aged).

Since my family no longer goes to church, we might attend a local brewery on Christmas Eve. If it's open that is.

 

Just got a glass of Good Gourd on Nitro. Damned near perfect beer.
