I tend to be seasonal with wine too... red in the cold, white in the warm. Food too... more grilling and lighter food like taco salad in the summer, heavier stews and soups and casseroles in the winter.

Food I definitely go seasonal with, even beyond just what's in season. I can't wait for fall and soup season,

Not a problem. I don't make a big deal out of it or anything. Just a thing I don't do, but other people enjoy it and good for them. :p

I checked out a taproom out in the suburb of Portland I live in. It was okay, the selection could have been better. Had a nice Gose and a fruit wheat ale that was nice.

Been working hard on re-staining a dresser and time for a break. Opened a bottle of Pearl Street Brewery 17Up Gose. It does taste like a mix of beer and 7up and is very refreshiing.

Holy crap. All that time in Chicago and Wisconsin and NO update in here?! Man.

I had a bunch of great beer. Tocayo Hominy White Ale was excellent. Spotted Cow from our friends at New Glarus is ALWAYS awesome. I snuck two wine bottle sized New Glarus beers out of Wisconsin and home to Portland. Bells' Oberon Ale, Goose Island Green Line Pale were both solid. Finally tried the Anderson Valley Briney Melon Gose, it was delicious, as usual.

I think we're gonna get our first shipment of pumpkin/fall beers at the end of this week. I'm kind of excited but also I'm not personally ready to drink them but I'm gonna want to buy them all! Ugh, life is rough.

I get to put together another import order! V excited and eager to see what my choices are this time around. Ready to go a little maltier and heavier now that we're moving out of the summer beers.

I'm currently in the Wilmington, NC area, so I gave the Scottish ale from Front Street Brewing a try. It's delicious. I also have tried the People's Porter by Foothills Brewing which is pretty good, too.

On Fleek is Stillwater, Caribbean Chocolate Cake is from Siren, Von Pamplemuse is Perennial, and Dogpatch is Almanac. Not sure about the other one though.

Went to Ecliptic as part of a bachelor's party for my brusband (former work husband) and had their Grapefruit Gose, which I've had in a bottle. It's so good. Also, they had a semi secret Belgian Porter that was excellent. Nice and light, not too thick and dark, still had a slight coffee overtone, making it a solid porter. Great for weather that is cooler, but still summer-ish.

Not normally a fan of the style, but yes, their Zenith is quite tasty. Also tried their Pollux Imperial IPA this week, which was really good, though anything more than a schooner seemed like a bit much.

Our shop got bottles of Omnipollo's NOA Pecan Mud Cake and, please, if you ever happen upon it BUY IT. It's very pricey (we're really reasonable with our bottle prices and it's $12ish for 12ish oz.) but possibly-maybe-likely-probably the best stout I've ever had. The aroma is insane and so is the flavor.
