Alaskan Brewing released a new one: Spruce IPA. 7.0% ABV. A fairly light IPA flavor. It blends my favorite beer, IPA, with my favorite of their seasonal brews, Winter Ale. Their Winter Ale is brewed with spruce tips.

[IMG] picked this up today. The only other brew I’ve had from Evolution was tasty. So let’s hope this follows suit.

[IMG] This is so damn tasty! Recommend this to anyone who likes barrel aged beers. Packs a punch at 11% though.

Went to a new (to me, been open about two years) taphouse on Saturday night. They rotate twenty taps through different Colorado beers and try to never repeat. Tried two. One was phenomenal, the other was interesting and good.

The interesting and good one was a Blueberry Pie Berliner from WeldWerks Brewing Company. One of the sweetest beers I've ever had, though it had notes of sour to it as well. The sweet was almost too much, but it walked just to that line, and managed to just barely not cross it. The beer claims to have notes of graham cracker as well, but I couldn't pick them up. Just sweet blueberry.

The phenomenal one was Big Bern Brown from Bull and Bush Pub and Brewery. It was a Brown Ale brewed with molasses. Wow. It's only February, but this might go down as the best new-to-me beer I have in 2018. I could really use more of it in my life. So incredibly smooth, and the molasses was just a perfect touch.

It's rare for me to have a beer too sweet for me. But it has happened once or twice. Generally not tho!

We had straight-up Barista at my bar a while ago and everyone said it was so good, so the addition of raspberries sounds delicious!

I haven't treated myself to buying a large format bottle in a while but I think I'm going to tomorrow. We got bottles of the sour cherry variant of Crooked Stave's Nightmare on Brett and I think I NEED it.

Now that I have more money than I know what to do with, I should perhaps experiment with all of these craft beers around here.

I have a strict "no drinking as a result of negative emotions" rule, so I've been limited in my beer consumption lately. Just had a really nice looking bottle gifted to me, though, so I'll try to get that posted (and consumed) soon.

Understandable. I just recently lost a bunch of weight and limited my beer intake to 1-3 a month tops. Hopefully your mind gets in a good groove soon! Good luck

One of the local brewers did a release of Girl Scout cookie-themed beers. This is one. It’s really light with a hint of lemon.

There is also a coconut blonde ale inspired by Samoas, a peanut butter brown ale inspired by Tagalongs, and a mint porter inspired by thin mints.

No don’t do it. It’s beyond disgusting. Southern Tier makes a Thin Mint stout that is utterly repulsive . Too minty and no beer flavor.

Well, a good one would be a chocolate stout with good chocolate flavor, and just a hint of mint.

Def agree with that . Maybe even barrel aged to tone down the mint.

I disagree here. I feel like this beer delivers what it intends to deliver -- a dessert stout full of mint and chocolate flavor. Every time we bring in a case at my bar, it flies, and the keg did as well. Totes get that it's not for everyone, it is intensely flavored.

We're getting a keg of Founders KBS here for the first time in years! Very excited to be part of the reason we're getting it this year. Makes me feel all sorts of special :D

I’ve never had KBS on draft , I’m sure it’s delicious . But out of all the Founders Barrel Aged series, KBS is my least favorite. Don’t get me wrong , it’s an amazing stout and is flavorful, but I don’t get enough Barrel flavor. Doom is still my favorite of the barrel aged series.

Maybe not exactly disgusting, but I had high expectations for their Thick Mint Stout (until now I didn't get the cookie reference). I was very disappointed with it as they usually make the most delightful flavored stouts.

After a very rough start of the week, I've opened a Prairie Artisan Ales; Bomb! Imperial stout aged on coffee, chocolate, vanilla beans, and ancho chili peppers. Just the right heat for me.
