Star Wars - Dark Nest II: The Unseen Queen
    by Troy Denning

    <img src="http://www.starwars.com/eu/lit/novel/img/20050628_2_bg.jpg">

"The epic Star Wars odyssey enters a new frontier as the heroes of The New Jedi Order confront a monstrous evil -- insidious, unseen and insatiable, as told in The Unseen Queen, the second book of the Dark Nest Trilogy by Troy Denning [with] cover art by Cliff Nielsen.

Despite being given new worlds to populate, the insectoid Killiks have not found peace. An unknown enemy has been attacking the new nests -- and the Killiks hold the Jedi responsible. Traveling back to the Unknown Regions to unravel the mystery, the Skywalkers and Solos discover an evil far more familiar than they ever expected... and even more terrifying. Why does the Dark Nest want to kill Mara? Will Jacen's apocalyptic vision trigger another galactic war or prevent one? And perhaps most ominous of all, what deadly secret are the Killik's hiding?

To find out, Luke, Mara, Han and Leia must embark on a perilous journey into the uncharted void between right and wrong. The ferocious Unknown Terrors are only the beginning of the awesome challenges that lie ahead in their quest to fathom the unfathomable. For an obscure dispute is about to explode into chaos, pitting Jedi against Jedi -- and threatening the very galaxy itself.

Star Wars: Dark Nest II The Unseen Queen is scheduled for release in paperback on September 27, 2005 from Del Rey Books."

Let it be said that I will go into Ultra Slaughter Mode if Saras the entrepreneur tries to sell anyone any tickets to the Luke vs. Alema WWF Smackdown or offers anyone complimentary deathsticks ala Mr. Potter's cigars in It's a Wonderful Life.

    Seriously, entrepreneur?

it looks as if there would be more spoilers by now since J/K was spoiled rotten around this time... troy seems to be keeping a tighter lid on things now.

*Many funerals will occur and somehow involve the Chiss.

Doesn't seem to bode well for Jag :(

*The trilogy will see one (or possibly more) of the characters go through the Campbellian Mythology structure: the hero at the end of his/her journey. Additionally, the Mythology sees the hero coming to an understanding that good and evil are two parts of the same system.

 Didn't that happen in three books called Traitor, Destiny's Way, and The Unifying Force?

*Dark Nest will follow the same structure as the Original Trilogy. The first part (Joiner King) introduces the problem, which the heroes more or less resolve. The second book (Unseen Queen) sees this backfire, the more disastrous the better. Swarm War will see the heroes make an extreme sacrifice to hopefully prevail. Expect Dark Nest to put a twist in this familiar narrative structure

    More bad news for Jagged...

*Pray's that Jag kicks it leaving Jaina to become so depressed she throws herself out of an airlock [face_praying] [face_praying] [face_praying] [face_praying] [face_praying]*

Any idea when this is out in Ol' Blighty?

Why must Jag die? Why not Baron Fel? Jag was a decent character at least, and the pairing was better than Kyp/Jaina.

Anyways, I hope that the R2 sidestory is expanded on more, and hopefully Lomi Plo will show up.

That 'ship always made me feel dirty to hear any mentions of. He's 14 years or more older than she is.

Why must Jag die? Why not Baron Fel?

    Why not both of them?

Baron Fel has no use anymore as a character and Denning doesn´t think that Jag and Jaina should end together, so what use there is for Jag in his plans?

Since when doesnt Denning thing Jag and Jaina should end together?

In his interviews after the release of TJK he hasn´t been very enthusiastic of the idea of them ending together.

I certainly hope they find a cure for being a joiner. I hate all of those Jedi who've joined. So annoying.
