Awesome ending! I'm glad it concluded on a high note... I was a little worried there during Part 3. Er... C?


If we get enough of these entries we should have subcategories. "Best single image," "Best comic strip," etc.

 

Yeah, my intention was that the first two are regular parts, but the second half is two alternate endings. Still, like I said, you can interpret it anyhow you like. For example, if you placed it as D-A-B-C, it's a spectacular fall from grace.

Believe me or not, I was planning on depicting a Monkey Lizard on a steamroller.

It would have been genious if there was a cannon on the steamroller. Get it? "Cannon steamroller".

 

I wonder if it would be nice if the mods kept this thread open after the contest. It would be fun to see more and more contributions come in over time. Maybe members could make caricatures of themselves, or just make it a thread open to art made for the Board.

 

^ I can't speak for Garth or Gry, but I think the idea of a LACWAC comedy/art thread would be a great idea. Maybe it could also be open to other artistic-ish endeavors as well (for instance, someone should get working on a "One-Man TCW Show" ).

In regards to the contest, unless everyone's planning to post their entries at the very last minute, I think we should probably consider extending the deadline.

 

I think we should definetly extend the deadline. I don't see why this must close in a couple of days.

 

Perhaps it would be better if this thread was just open for Board related pictures.

Yeah, we can definitely either extend the timeline or just keep it open to whatever.

And koonfan, great job. The monkey-lizard steamroller was incredible. Also bonus points for the scissors going "snip" in true dream fashion.

Also, I was wearing a mullet wig for my hallowe'en costume, so good call.

I think Barriss was on to something for other artistic endeavours. As an ardent voice acting fan, I imagined myself doing a (read: poor) rendition of a one-man TCW show. Besides which, we're already used to characters sounding unconvincing, so what do we have to lose?

Well, I think that the contest idea fell apart sort of, but I think the mods are leaving it open for people if they want to post LACWAC board related fan art.

 

Yeah, I'm all for making a general fanart-type thread. Provided that doesn't step on the toes of the FanArt forum (and as far as I know, there aren't a whole lot of us LACWACers that frequent those parts, or vice-versa...)
