Thanks Talonias and HanSolo29 for the infomation on GIMP I installed it but I don't how to start a cover. Do you do the background first or what? Also if you knew any threads that had infomation that would help to because I searched and can't find any.

I love that! I love to see Episode III Darth Vader on Return of the Jedi cover. If you don't mind if you could make A New Hope and A Empire Strikes Back? I like to see that. Great Job!

 

Yesterday I had a go at designing a cover for a PT boxset to match last year's OT one. I know, the picture of the heroes looks a little tacky but I really rushed that part. I am quite proud of the Anakin face bit.
The side has a Jedi temple where the Death Star is on the OT, because I decided to interpret the side-of-box-symbol as being the ultimate power in the galaxy in each trilogy.

I used gold for widescreen and blue for pan&scan because that's how the respective banners are coloured on the individual PT DVDs.

This is just my rough impression of what I would really like LFL to release (and they should give a token with ROTS so you can get a free box if you've already bought the other two films separately).

I've been thinking about making such a box myself. I was planning on putting Sidious on the box, since he's the main villain in the prequels, as Vader was in the OT.
As the heroes I would put Anakin and Padme (in some way united since they are husband and wife) and Obi-Wan, but I am not sure on who else. Yoda and Mace are possibilities, as is Jar Jar. I didn't want R2 and 3PO on the box, since they are rather minor characters in the PT, and they are already on the OT box.
I was planning on making the box itself should be gold, because the PT is about the golden age of the Republic, and it would contrast nicely with the OT box as well.

I did think about Sidious. I wanted Anakin to have the big portrait because it's his saga. So I couldn't think where to put Sidious - he wouldn't fit in with the heroes. On the OT Heroes side there's the Big Three plus the two droids. As you said, the droids are really minor in the PT and shouldn't be on there. I should've put 5 characters on there but I guess I forgot. At the time I was thinking that the fifth could be Palpatine. Because while Sidious clearly ought to be on the cover as he's instrumental to the saga, I didn't think the Sith Lord would fit with the good guys.
Your idea of Anakin and Padme united is a really good one. I initially wanted to do something of that sort but couldn't find a picture of them together that would've suited the cover.

If you make a box, do post it online! By the way, your menus are very impressive!

nice job, heres a tip, when ur done cutting, say u put it on a black background, zoom in to 8X then right click black. select eraser and erase anything that doesnt fit. Now I am going to try and make a main menue, it'll be a bit diferent, since I'm doin it for the version that I made.

Ps: Nice job comander ewok or whatever ur name was.

Really padme lover? I think the worst thing I did was my dvd cover for episode 3. it sucks. I did good on the back though.
