Time flies when you're having fun.
A 6.6 magnitude earthquake hits China, kills at least 160.
This reporter was having her wedding when the quake hit. She went to work immediately.
JP posted this one on facebook:
6.3 hits lower North Island of New Zealand.
I also posted it in Hobbit thread for the Eagle lulz.
Go home, eagle. You're drunk.
Hear about this. My cousin and his wife felt some tremors in Hikurangi, but their 2 year old slept right through it.
A mere 4.4, but it woke me up.
So glad Minnesota doesn't get them unless it's trapped in a Roland Eimmrich film.
Yeah, the whole "there was an earthquake? handy alarm clock" is what I'm seeing from people in CA on fb. So I'll edit the thread accordingly
I haven't had one since moving to a high story. That wasn't fun.
Any fine china damaged?
4.4 is just a normal Monday.
@I Are The Internets No, but it's a different story for the knock off china.
It's almost jarring to see them do an actual, real news story, since 75-90% of their daily telecasts are filled with FLUFF.
The Luck o' the Irish was not with them that day.
Hahahah bless whoever changed the thread title.
Learn to swim.
And another 5.4 in Orange County, CA just now. Down here in San Diego we just felt a big rolling wave, but everyone up in LA and the OC is saying it was a good shake.
I didn't feel it.
Already dropped to a 5.1. Make up your mind, USGS.
There was also a 3.4 aftershock just 2 minutes later. Sheesh.
Not just your average night at Disneyland:
Or at Dodger Stadium: [link=http://deadspin.com/vin-scully-call-of-5-1-quake-proves-he-can-get-us-throu-1554211191]Vin Scully's call of tonight's quake, happening right in the middle of an Angel/Dodger (spring training) game[/link].
Happened while watching an episode of Lost with my roommate, making it that much more epic. It was her first one since moving here from Ohio.
