Funny story about that, Robert the Bruce is a distant maternal ancestor of mine. So I guess you could say it's in my blood ;)

Honestly, I think we all have capability for all 9 of those. Which one is our go-to, our center, is another question.

For Gildar, I'd say he's Lawful Good.

    Alejac, he's more Lawful Evil.

But looking at the alignments, I can see times where I'm Good or Evil, Lawful or Chaotic. It really depends on the circumstance. A client: Lawful Good. A cockroach: Chaotic Evil.

Well yeah. Like when Kev-Mas was still under the control of the Emperor he was Lawful Evil, as that is what he was forced to be, and then when he first found his freedom and was helping the Utapau Sky Force he was more along the lines of being Chaotic or Neutral Good because while he was looking out for himself he was also somewhat selfless, especially with his motivations for leaving because he feared that him being there would put people in danger. It's an interesting thing to think about, really.

So, the Jedi and the Sith, both, decry using the Force for, lets say, recreational purposes. Jedi, because it's frivalous. Sith, because they want to remain hidden. How do you Grey feel about it?

Second topic: in honor of HP's 20th annivarsary, what say you to the appropriate House (English or US) for Grey? Sith claim Slytherin. Don't know about Jedi.

First topic: In my opinion, the Grey Jedi encourage personal freedom and as such they'd actually look at using the Force in such ways as a good thing.

Second topic: I would think the Jedi would be Griffindor, so as such the Grey Jedi would probably be Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw.

A question for all. Our Troika will be formally designing the system we'll have here, but they aren't the only ones with ideas. What do you want to see as the format here? Master / apprentice? Tasks given? Or do you want to see a group of equals? How should points be awarded? Are there other ideas that no one has put forth, yet?

While the Troika is designing the system, we do represent the people. So that being said, suggestions that come up in this discussion might end up being used.

A personal master and apprentice system provides support for the new user (where new). I like it for that reason.

The Sith seem to be drawn to cakes, the richer the better.

I don't know much about the Jedi, since I don't go there much.

What food would be most identified with Grey? (and, please don't post that steak gif again. :) )

Actually, sith are cookies (join the dark side, we've got cookies), the Jedi are good old wholesome pie, and the grey are a mix of the two: cake

I was reminded earlier of the greatness that is Sun Tsu's Art Of War. It is a battle-oriented book. Strategy in the battlefield, and such. So much more that it can mean though. So much of it is in the mind. "Know your enemy and know yourself and you needn't fear the result of a thousand battles." More about mental work before you even encounter combat.

I love the story early in the book about the Emperor asking the General to command a contingent of his concubines. (Well, really, how many concubines does one man need, but I digress.) The General eventually ended up beheading some because they wouldn't follow orders (kept giggling). The next group followed orders to the T.

To me, the Grey do this more than the other (shall we say) factions, but I'd like others input.

We have dual people in here. I'm Sith-Grey. So is Sinre. The Vanguard and Mitth-Fisto are Jedi-Grey, as are others. Why does your alternate group symbolize the AoW ideals more?

IMO, Art of War is more on the Sith-Grey side, but it can still work for Jedi-Grey as well if they're battlemasters or something, and some Sith-Grey it doesn't work for (like if they're more the sorcerer type rather than warriors).

The concubine thing is definitely more Sith than Grey though :p

Sugar free was an attempt to boost recruitment without compromising ethics. Suffice to say it didn't work. Turns out sugar free sweetener tastes like formaldehyde.

Haven't read that book yet. Want to, but too many others already stacked up atm.

    Interesting though.

Also I see myself as Grey-Jedi, not Jedi-Grey. I belonged to three or four grey factions before this one as well as before the Jedi. Although the Jedi is the first I have arisen to the rank of Master ;)

Question for all here... (and I'm going to ask the Cloud City Cantina and the Sith this, too). There was an interest in a "book club" around Art of War among the Sith a while back. Would there be an interest in it in a more general audience?
