The Official Fan Art Challenge returns again with a new theme for Spring. The main idea of the challenge is not to be a contest to beat out your fellow artists, but an outlet in which we can all grow and explore new ideas and possibilities together. So, here we go...

A place for artists and fans alike to participate in quarterly themed drawing exercises.

[color=limegreen][b]Who can participate?[/b][/color]

The challenge is open to anyone and all skill levels. It doesn't matter if you can paint like Picasso or you can only draw a simple stick figure, you're more than welcomed to participate.

[color=limegreen][b]How does the challenge work?[/b][/color]

Every seasonal quarter(Fall;September-November, Winter;December-February, Spring;March-May, Summer;June-August), Any medium is accepted and as I said above, all skill levels are welcomed. You are free to submit a simple sketch or a finished piece of art.

The theme will be given at the start with a choice of twelve topics to select from.

I'm going to go for this, it'll give me something to sketch between working on my dissertation.

Can I have number 2 please? (hope its a disney movie I've actually seen)

 

Disney?

I think I'll require a brief explanation on this theme before I dive in. I assume that we'll be drawing characters in the Disney style, or parodying a Disney movie with SW characters, but I'd like to be sure first.

 

The options are classic Disney animated feature films. This round has a bit more freedom from the last as you are free to draw your favourite moment or characters from said options and within that film universe. It isn't a cross over though that would be fun to do, maybe next time.

 

I was supposed to draw my favorite moment from Lion King. I haven't seen the movie so I googled Images and drew my version of a Lion identified as Scar. [image=http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f203/jedijade88/scar2.jpg]

 

For the challenge:
I got Pocahontas and added the Ewoks
