TF.N's Foreign Covers Section

I am proud to announce here the opening of the brand new section of TF.N books, the "Foreign Covers" section.

This thread is for any discussion related to the Foreign Covers. I'll post in this thread whenever new covers are available.

If you can contribute by sending a cover I don't have and that you know is different from the American one, don't hesitate. (The cover doesn't have to be Japanese.) Alternatively, if you can get ahold of a better scan than one I already have, don't hesitate either ! You can send it all here : covers@theforce.net .

Voilà, that's about it. If you have any comments, questions, suggestions, yon can post them here too, or send me a mail.

Wow, that is an awesome gallery. I'm a big fan of Japanese illustrator Noriyoshi Ohrai, and you've just uncovered 3 works of his I didn't even know existed (the 3 manga book covers). I'll have to get in touch with my Japanese friend to see if he can uncover these for me. I've got a handful of the very cool French novels with unique artwork as well that I'll have to get to the gallery--as soon as I get my scanner up and running again. Keep up the good work and thanks for the heads up on the Ohrai covers!

Nice! Japanese covers are always interesting to look at. It's nice to have a convenient place to have them all.
Is there anything besides Japanese covers?

 

I don't see why the American covers can't look that good!

JediTrilobite : For now, I only have Japanese covers covers, but it'll probably expand as people send covers, or we find them on the web (or elsewhere).

Here are two covers with higher resolution. But as you can see, the lower half are covered by promoting materials.

Well, the page has been updated with a slightly better - and single piece - version of the Destiny's Way cover.

The Japaneze covers are WAY cooler than the American ones.
I hadn't seen the Destiny's Way one before... but once again I like it a lot better than the original. Jaina actually looks COOL, much better than the nasty depiction of her on the American version.

When did Jaina ever use a purple lightsaber? I know Anakin had one, but that is still on Coruscant IIRC.

I think some of the Japanese covers are better, and some of the American covers are better. I like the American ones slightly better over the Japanese ones.

I know this may not be the place to post this, but I have a general question. How do you post a picture on the forums? I have a picture of an unidentified person that I picked up somewhere and was going to post it to see if anyone had any ideas. Thanks!
