Thank you, Pashatemur for your kind words. :) You are most welcome.

I love your drawing of Sophia and Miss Pie. I think you have captured the angle of the face quite well, the flow of the hair, their expressions... those eyes are expressive! I love the pose and the care you have put into the rendering. Very beautiful.

I can't wait to see more of your drawings.

Thank you NYCitygurl, however I cannot take credit for General Praetorian Darkeyes, Se'Iva, Sophia Anastasia and Miss Pie. They were beautifully drawn by Pashatemur. :)

These really look great, Pash! Awesome job!

It's great to finally put faces to the characters we've been reading about for so long. If I have some free time coming up, I may think about contributing some portraits as well.

Each piece looks stunning and expressive! The rendering of the skin, the eyes, the hair, the light... I can feel the emotion behind those eyes and expressions with each one.

I am thrilled to see your portraits, you have captured them brilliantly. Thank you!

Thank you earlybird-Obi-wan. Corellian_Outrider is due praise as he's really helped me with my drawing. I'll return a compliment. I visited your fan art thread and enjoyed your work as well. I haven't done much drawing of movement or setting yet. I am just starting to study the body in motion etc. I hope I am half as successful as you in putting the person in a setting in a way that communicates so strongly a story to the viewer.

I really like the way how your work reflects the personality of your characters. They have a kind of glow around them.

I know these words are often offered in reply to compliments, but I am truly thankful for everyone?s consideration and input. Thank you HS29, NYCitygurl, Jerjerrod-Lennox, Earlybird-Obi-wan, and, of course, Corellian_Outrider, and AzureAngel2.

AzureAngel2,yes, light and shadow have always intrigued and compelled me. I?m fascinated by the reflective nature of things and I'd like to capture that quality and give that sense of light coming from the figures themselves. I think this is why I love the color field artists so much. The relative spareness or simplicity of their compositions allowed them to explore the nature of light and its gradations or absence, likewise. It's also one of the reasons I'm still working in pencil, but I hope to work in color soon. However, thanks, for the compliment as that's exactly what I'm after.

I have decided to use colour for this piece and have posted both versions. Thank you Pashatemur for your thoughts and feedback during the drawing of this piece.

Your rendering and your use of tone to show the play of light is beautiful.

Those eyes and his expression really stands out.

Thank you for your kind words! :)

It can become tricky to capture the light in the right manner, depending on the stroke it can change the facial expression and the shape of the face drastically.

Ooooh, I really should try to go back and find my designs of the Cartaoan ships (drawn many years before the Clone Wars cartoons stole the idea [face_batting]).
