Yes, D_D is going to be off ff-uk for the next week and a half due to the careless timing of an 8-day field trip to bloody wales, aberystwyth to be percise. I'm goin to miss all of Irelands, and Englands matches, after they beat spain and Belgium. Going to have to work 12 hour days, be up before lunch time, and all this after finishing the university year, but still having 2/3 of a module to do.

I've never been to Wales.

 

Andy oges there all the time for the hills and the sheep, he wont admit it, but I bet you he had an orgamic experiance when we drove past those sheep at Paintballing, a whole flock of them there were!!

 

I lived in Wales for three years. Sights I saw included:

1. A perfectly-normal-looking man pausing to kiss a small tree right outside my halls of residence.

2. An outdoors party where the only available disco lights were the DJ's hazard lights on his car.

3. People repeatedly throwing themselves face-down in mud whilst fully clothed because 8 days or non-stop rain had turned thier brains to mush.

4. A man wearing nothing but a huge beard and a pair of blue y-fronts making a phonecall from a public phonebox on the high street in the middle of a Sunday morning.


Come to Wales.

I always founf the Severn Bridge quite weird. You pay to enter Wales, but it's free to leave. If they swapped this round, then they could double the charge, and people would gladly pay it

I promise you that it isn't that bad. Is it safe to say I actually quite like living in Swansea, Wales? However I do happen to live in what is considered as a fairly posh area of Swansea.
I'd just make the most of it. I'm not very familiar with Aberystwyth but I guess if my friend's sister has lived there and been in the Uni for how many years now? It shouldn't be too bad. Mind you she is slightly strange. Well at least it isn't Lampeter.

What ever you do just make sure you never ever even try to say what Terra just suggested, insult anyone with idiotic, stereotypical sheep jokes or pronounce Llanelli as Laneli (yes there is a difference but it's untypeable).

well, I spent a year at Hendrefoilan (up in Sketty), and another year in Norfolk Road (up Constitution Hill). I must have lost about 47 stone going up there every day!

My best memory from Swansea was going to the UCI to watch Generations dressed up in my Star Trek outfit with 3 friends. I said to the cahsier "four, please" and she looked at me and said in all seriousness "Natural Born Killers?"
