What's gone will be just as interesting as what's been added, I think.

I'm assuming it's safe to assume that "Bothans" won't get an entry this time around? :p

Don't forget about my beloved fish. They are tougher than they look.

By the way, Lord Fry, if you wield any influence in Lucasbooks, please do whatever you can to the get the AOTC expanded visual dictionary released.

Lord Fry? Peasant Fry would be far closer.

As for the AOTC EVD, sorry, but there's no chance. It was developed for the 3-D release and now there's no commercial hook for it. It would cost DK a publishing slot they'd much rather use for other things. And it would need to be overhauled for continuity, using resources that are overtaxed.

The miracle is that it slipped out to Denmark in the first place.

Hear that, darklord? Just move to Denmark. Easy peasy.

Perhaps one day it might see the light of day. As far as I'm aware, after 2020 there should be a perfect time :)

Saw the DK panel at CE on Friday and Jason did a signing at the DK booth afterwards. I introduced myself and he signed my copy of the SW Atlas (and drew a small Fett for me). If I get a chance later this coming week I'll post a pic of the page.

Well, if the person you saw was wearing a Fett t-shirt it might have been me.

Out today! My latest Star Wars book, published by the good folks at Studio Fun.

Same format as Ships of the Galaxy, down to the groovy hex fold; lots of info about aliens, including a bunch of new lore about new species from The Force Awakens. It's fun; hope you check it out. As always, this link will support the Jason Fry Beer & Mortgage Fund. We sincerely thank you for your patronage.

    Oh, and here's a photo:

"I must be Frank, Your Majesty..." I'm always happy to contribute to your Mortgage Fund, but first I need to know whether you were allowed to come up with new things in there.

There aren't new aliens -- we were limited to aliens that had art from the movies and shows -- but there is lots of new lore about them (mostly the TFA gang), including planets of origin, backgrounds, etc.

Yes, obviously, "new lore" is what I wanted to hear. :)

Speaking of lore, I just realized this could have been a good time to canonize the Hoth AT-ST as a Mark II model, since Commander has the Mark III and the ILM models changed from ESB to ROTJ. Oh well, maybe something for a future book? ;)

Good idea! But let's set our priority straight: first, we need a reference book to acknowledge the existence of two Imperial-class Star Destroyer variants and also explain the differences.
