Unfortunately, No one can't view any of these movies unless they sign up for that IGNinsider thing, Which sucks, I dont like the idea paying a subscribtion just to see video clips of games, You can get video clips of games elsewhere though, but that IGNinsider crap sucks.

I have it! If you liked the original Starfighter you're gonna love this one. I'm a little less than half way through, so if you have any questions, shoot. LMM, the Reublic Gunship is a playable craft you can unlock! I have yet to see it, as I haven't reached the battle of Geonosis level (called "Attack of the Clones"). Surprisingly, that's not even the last level!

   !

Mine, this afternoon. I'm already salivating at the chance to fly Slave I, but the gunships look awesome too, thank u!

Edit: I've been playing a lot of Ace Combat 4 recently just to get the feeling of unleashing a huge arsenal of weapons in a military setting. It's a GREAT game, but I definitely need my Ep2 video game fix after seeing the lastest trailer.

    Gamespot's review

The soundtrack is an amalgamation of the Episode I music, along with a few new tracks, presumably from the Episode II score.

Wow, I hope that's the case and the reviewer isn't just mistaking old music for Ep2 tracks!

As I said, if you like the first one then by all means enjoy. If you hated the first one, stay away. It's basically the same game in AOTC trappings. IMHO, Rogue Leader is a superior game, but I enjoyed both. However, it must be said that Jedi Starfighter is a FAR easier game than the first one or RL.

    ****AOTC spoilers***

BTW, I unlocked the Republic Gunship! It's awesome to be flying this thing kicking a** all over Geonosis. It has normal lasers, the cool missiles seen in Trailer D and you can fire the freakin' mini Death Star laser! It's EXTREMELY useful for vaporizing those pesky Commerce Guild and Intergalactic Bank Clan tanks!

Nah, I liked the first one, but it just didn't link in with the film much. But I suppose that means it doesn't disturb 'canon'. Which is good. Wonder if you get to fly Slave One in the next game? Probably not, but we can hope.

Actually, this game has less to do with the AOTC storyline than Starfighter with the TPM one.

    ***Jedi Starfighter/AOTC spoilers***

The only level that seems to be directly related to the movie is the "Attack of the Clones" level, which is basically the battle of Geonosis. There are a couple of more levels in Geonosis' orbit (including a fun one where you escort a Repulic Cruiser through the asteroid field), but they are obviously not directly from the movie. And the way you get to these missions is not related to the games' plot; while on a mission in a different star system, Adi Gallia will sudenly be called away by Mace Windu to join the Republic forces in Geonosis.

    ***End spoilers***

BTW, this game contains MASSIVE AOTC spoilers, so you might want to avoid it if you are going spoiler-free. I'm sure LMM will have no problems ;)

    Are you kidding I'm eating'em up! ;)

I started a thread in the SA forum about some of the music including some sound files because I think it could be actual music from Ep2!

    What do you think, DS?

Since this appears to be the appropriate thread and forum for it, I would like someone who's played it to give a list and description of the levels and cutscenes, as well as the intro, and how Dooku and the separatists fit into it.

    Ah hell, the whole plot!

I can probably tie my Shadow of the Force fan-fiction into this, since it's a AotC prequel as well.

I don't know about the music. Wasn't the sountrack to the movie recorded only last month? They would have had to rush it, but it is possible. However, the Battle of Geonosis level, which seems a logical choice to to feature new music, uses TPM music.

    ***AOTC/Jedi Starfighter spoilers***

Sturm: I've only played through once, and I don't remember all the names exactly, but here's some of what I can remember.

Basic plot: Adi Gallia is sent by Mace Windu to test the Jedi Starfighter prototype to the Kharthakk system, where suspicious Trade Federation activity has been spotted. There she hooks up with Nym and his band of pirates who are still trying to recapture his base in Lok which he lost to the TF in the first game ten years ago. What they do not know is that Count Dooku has hired a Captain Cavik Toth, a human who unexplainedly has a fleet of Sabaoth destroyers and fighters to work with the TF to maintain control of the system. The big secret: they're developing a new chemical weapon called Trihexalon in the system. Basically, you play as Adi Gallia or Nym making raids on TF bases, rescuing prisioners and eventually recapture your base.
As to how it ties in to AOTC, Adi is suddenly called away to Geonosis by Mace Windu, where she is told that Obi-Wan and his padawan have been captured and ordered to hook up with the Republic fleet. At this point, Siri Tachi joins you in another Jedi Starfighter. The AOTC-related missions are (1) escorting a Republic cruiser through the asteroid field surrounding Geonosis; (2)the battle itself, where you must protect a group of clonetroopers from tanks and fighters until they can enter and blow up a Geonosian energy station while also attempting to destroy a TF Core ship before it takes off; and (3) the last level, in which you must destroy Toth's fleet which has arrived at Geonosis before they can deploy the trihexalon on the clones.

This is all from the top of my head, so if you have any specific questions, shoot.

Some of the more familiar characters also making appearances: Saesee Tinn, Yoda, Vana, Jinkins, Jango Fett, and Sol Sixxa (from the Starfighter: Crossbones series).
