The civil war is growing bloodier and more complicated. At the Wookiee homeworld, Han and Leia Organa Solo are fighting the firestorm set by their son, when out of nowhere they're attacked by the insane former Jedi, Alema Rar. Alema is the prime suspect in the murder of Mara Jade Skywalker, and Jaina Solo, the Jedi, and their allies are determined to hunt her down and make her pay... unaware that they are chasing the wrong target.

On Coruscant, Jacen Solo?now Darth Caedus?is healing from the wounds he suffered at the hands of Ben and Luke Skywalker, but an even greater injury plagues him: the defection of the love of his life and mother of his child: Queen Tenel Ka. In his bid to rule the galaxy, he has lost everyone he ever loved?except his daughter?and he will make sure Tenel Ka cannot turn her against him....

As Luke Skywalker faces his grief and the guilt of having killed the wrong person in revenge for Mara Jade's death, a plan to destroy Jacen is unfolding deep in space.

Can't wait 'til the spoilers start coming in.

 

Won't be at least until one week or less, most likely. Paperbacks are released muuuuuuuuuuch closer to time than hardcovers are...

 

Time for book seven. Title's potent, but let's see what the book has in store for us.

 

It will be interesting to see who exactly comes after Jacen now. Anybody think Tenel might bring the fight to him now? She has to know his next stop will be Hapes to come after Alana. I can't see her waiting for him to come. After all, she does have the full power of the Hapes Consortium to draw on. Could get interesting.

I would also like to see Kyp mount some kind of ambush against Jacen with the help of the Council(and survive ).

I am also curious to see if Fett comes after Jacen, although it will probably be in Revelation. I have to believe his daughter's death at Jacen's hand has to be on his mind since becoming healthy again and he is not known for his forgiving nature.

I don't see Luke taking another shot at Jacen anytime soon, but I don't know about Ben.

Any thoughts?

I'd have to think Tenel Ka will have a Big enough roll in this to protect Allana.
I would really like to see Kyp Durron come to the fore again.
Poor Luke,does he feel bad for killing Lumiya???LOL.
Alema Rar SHOULD have a bigger part as the Jedi will be hunting HER down thinking she killed Mara.

 

I remember a tv series about a black horse called Fury. Do they have horses in the GFFA? Will Han ride into the sunset?

What I really expect: Luke will feel sorry for killing Lumiya and do nothing. Ben will find out Jacen killed Mara, but only on the last pages. Jaina, Jag and Zekk will hunt Alema Rar for most part of the book. Hopefully that will be funny. Jacen will kill secondary characters. Nothing serious.

 

Fury's cover seems like Sacrifice's cover... I mean a character with lightsaber probably during a fight... So...
Who is Ben's enemy ? That depends the side where Ben is... maybe Jacen, maybe another Sith, maybe a Jedi ?
Afterall Ben has a great anger and on the cover he doesn't look so friendly lol so we'll see.
But I would like he cuts his hair before XD or at least puts a hat until his hair grows.

 

the cover could be irrelevant to the book. Tenel Ka had a lightsaber and i don't believe its been used once in this series.

 

It's for that I said "a character with lightsaber probably during a fight"
I know Tempest 's cover... Tenal Ka is not in a physical battle.
I think "Ben with a lightsaber" is a symbol to say that he fights somebody or something and
afterall its only my pov ^__^

If so, it seems One Sith may be about to become important.

Well, they did say that he will learn about it in Revelation. Perhaps the events in Fury will set up the scene.

Yeah. I need to stop worrying about that, and just laugh at it instead. That's probably the main reason why the authors put it in there in the first place.

I love that the Maybe-Krayts are getting further attention. I was worried it was going to be a Denning-only thing, so it's both great to see more inter-book continuity and, presumably, LOTF-Legacy continuity.

Ben, on the other hand, needs to seriously pick up the pace clue-wise. He saw Jacen working with Lumiya two books ago, and while I liked that he caught on to Jacen not being good in Inferno, the fact that he still wasn't bringing that up was annoying. I really hope there's progression on that front.

Hey, Kyp's OK. Still, I think that another master could bite the dust in this book. Who has died so far? Just Tresina Lobi and Mara, right?

 

Agreed.

Young characters keeping everything to themselves has to be the thing that irritates me the most with some novels. As much as I like the series, the Harry Potter books constantly got on my nerves for the same reason Ben is.

Once? Fine.
Twice? Pushing it.
Three times? Is the kid a karking moron?

I bought it up until Mara died. The fact he had already told Mara but now isn't telling anyone else just doesn't work for me. He can use the excuse of wanting to take Jacen down all he likes, but is he seriously that stupid that he thinks he could take him down on his own after his own mother failed to? It's just such an artificial plot device it's starting to really grind the "I hate stupid kids!" nerve. Can't we just once have a kid who is actually willing to tell people "I know who the bad guy is"?

 

Niathal won't die yet-i'm sure Traviss will want her in Revelation. hopefully alema will have more page time. she was good in inferno but despite it being a Denning novel she was barely in it. i feel this is Kyps last chance in this series to have a big part and so i hope it happens.

Anakin Skywalker did it in a certain movie , that didnt work too well on him

 

It would have worked fine if he didn't interfere with Mace.

Well he's blinded by angry and revenge so yes he thinks he could do it himself. Moreover, for him his father is too "good" for doing it. And for a fourteen years' boy he's very smart i think, and he lives events that no boy of his age should live.

And yes this cover is awful, thx Jason Felix, who seem does't like Jacen and Ben. I can't stant for japanese cover with beautiful character like tsuyoshi nagano know to do it.

 

Niathal was introduced by Allston, so I'm not all that sure she will survive until Revelation for Traviss to use. Considering how absurdly slow the plot moves that I have to doubt that Allston takes the honour of retiring her, though.

Overall, I expect this to be another book where much supposedly happens, but where the main plot(s) don't move forward almost at all.
