Ok, my suggestion did not work but I did it the normal way (which has the code looking just like your second post that did not work) and it works fine for me. Weird.

EDIT: I know what went wrong now. You need to copy the "Direct Link" option under your pic from Photobucket. You used the wrong link for your pic.

    Badass picture by the way

    EDIT: oooooh thank you

So, I was kinda bored, and I realized I hadn't made a saber in Inventor yet, so I decided to see what I could make it do, and this is the result:
    [image=http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/184/sabersweet.png]
I'd probably laugh at anyone who would actually use it in a fight, but it sure is shiny. :D

It is ridiculously shiny. took me a couple seconds to actually focus on the thing :3

I ordered some of the parts needed for my saber design though, so I should have the things together in a week or so. It will be EPIC

My latest hilt. The Mara Jade-ish bars on this one are actually not bars at all. I used a 60 degree drill mill bit to make small, steep grooves to simulate the appearance of bars (albeit curved, not flat). This hilt cannot accept electronics and takes 3/4" OD blades.

I decided to played around in Photoshop and try to render one of my pre-existing MS paint designs today. I think I can say I found a result I'm quite happy with.

I'm trying to get this saber made. Hopefully It'll be done.

Hi everyone. Here's my latest hilt. It's called "Triton".

Yep, you guessed it. It's yet another Ahsoka variant. Only this time, it has electronics. It's my third and probably last, Ahsoka Tano lightsaber variant as I'm getting sick of making the little "gun sights" and their curved bases.

This is the first saber that I have ever put sound in as well as the first that I have ever put a recharge port/kill switch in. It's also the first saber of mine to have a name other than "Saber" followed by a number. What? "Saber 29" not sound cool enough? ;)

I did some light "carbon scoring" on the blade holder which can be seen in the 3rd and 7th pics.

The blade holder is designed for 3/4" OD blades.

The sound emits from six small vents at the bottom of the hilt that are inlaid with a brass mesh material. You can't really tell in the video posted below but the sound coming from the saber is actually quite loud.

    Specs:

Custom machined aluminum hilt with custom brass accent pieces.
    TCSS brass Covertec knob.
An Ultrasound 2.1 nestled soundly against a 2AA battery pack and an MHS Speaker mount V3.
    Two 3.7V Protected Li-Ion Trustfires.
    TCSS Premium Speaker.
    TCSS long momentary tactile (shortened).
    Lux V Green LED.
    5 degree lens w/holder.
    TCSS copper LED heatsink (modified).
    TCSS 2.1mm recharge port/kill switch.
Fake green accent LED that lights up from the main LED.

Yeah I know, hard to believe I'm 40 with that voice eh?

Geez, that's nice... I really like the long openings that go down the sides. The pommel has a very nice design as well.

More of a personal thing, but I don't like gold pieces on sabers :p Don't know why, but it makes it look too ornamental, like you would never use it to fight with, because it is too nice looking. But I like the way you used it on this one. The small gold "mesh" pieces near the end of the hilt are very cool. I wonder what that would look like on top of those three green LEDs at the top.. There's actually only one fake LED on top and the three slits show 3 holes each that go all the way to the hole in the center where the blade is. The main LED that lights the blade also lights up the 9 holes as well as the fake LED on top.

This saber was the one I have been working on for far too long. Most of the delay was because I had to move, back in July and before I could move I had to build a shop from the ground up at my new location as well as do a lot of work on a travel trailer (which still has more things that I need to do to it).

Now that it's out of the way, I believe I owe you two free sabers (that are long overdue) for winning LCC VII. I'll get started on those soon.

Ah, didn't notice that 3-hole pattern was on two other sides as well, that's even better!

To be technically correct: we didn't win... But I appreciate the notion :p I completely forgot about that.. Now I'm excited.

Nice, lol. I owe you one I suppose.

Well, here's my progress on my hilt I'm doing in 3ds (only 3 days since I've been using it!) The top of the hilt is just temporary for now, but it looks kinda cool. Haven't started on the pommel yet, so its just kind of boring down there. Glow/glow casting on floor plane done in Ae.

Only three days in 3DS and you're making 'saber hilts? You do make it sound appealing.

Demo's easy enough to find, I suppose.
Now all I need is motivation.

Well these are way, way, way overdue. I finally got around to working on the prizes for the LCC VII contest (2 free saber hilts) and now they are done. They go to Ricky_Calrissian and SilentBat (the 1st place winners declined the hilts due to the fact that they already had nice custom ones that they used in their entry).

The first one is mostly an older saber I made that I orginally named "Saber 22". It now has a reworked emitter and has been modified to accept 3/4" blades instead of 1" OD blades. It also has a completely different pommel. The widest part of the handle area is about 1.5" in diameter. Since it was originally designed to accept electronics, it still has the ability to have the emitter and pommel removed. I call it "Saber 22 - Redux". I know, original aint it?

    [image=http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y237/Evil-Henchman/ARKM%20Saber%20Hilts/Saber22-Redux-05.jpg]

The next hilt is using an emitter made by RLSA Sabers. It's from one of my own personal hilts. It accepts 3/4" OD blades. When I bought my saber from RLSA, I had a duplicate emitter made that takes 1" OD blades. Since I can always make an aluminum insert/sleeve to allow a 1" OD emitter to accept 3/4" OD blades, I no longer need the 3/4" OD blade version. The emitter has been heavily modified from it's original form. The handle and pommel are new. The widest part of the handle area is about 1-5/16" in diameter. This one is called "Saber 29".

At first I thought you meant the 'sabers were free, which caused me to get all excited.
Then I realized that's not what you meant. Now I'm back to my normal state of general interest.

Well, they are free... just not for you. :p I guess I should have said "Ricky and SilentBat" instead of "guys" in the last sentence of my previous post.
