    Yay!

ROTK is merely days away from release and this is the place to post your reactions and thoughts.

    :D

I'm expecting this to be better than both of the previous films.

I too am looking forward to seeing the last Lord of the Rings film. Its gonna be somit special!!

I hope I can see it before the weekend but my job kinda gets in the way a bit. Its a bit tiring, but I'll try and get some extra strength together to see it on its opening night.

    :D

Elvis is dead OK? No matter how good the CGI is it won't convince me otherwise.

Once again, you've got the wrong thread, and possibly the wrong board.

Either that, or should consider reading the thread title (and the first post) before posting yourself.

if i EVER get a day off work.... I'll definately get my "lord of the rings kit"

    which is:

A bag of Haribo (A must for any 3 hour sitting)
A Tub of pringles (any flavour other than salt and vinegar

and of course, last but not least!

    A sharesize bottle of coke

now of course, i would have it all for myself (unless i havent eaten the since the day before, then indeed i will eat away). I can't wait.

    lol at Amber. [face_laugh]

You could always finish off the final chapters while standing in line. ;) :p

I should (hopefully) be seeing it in the evening. :D

lol I was right at the end so wasn't that much to read, considering I can get through two Harry Potter books in one day (ok not book four or five) :p

Hey I am hoping the lines aren't going to be that bad as there are lots of showings.....plus I plan on going at a studip hour in the morning.....hmm ok I think I'll go to the machines and not the people ;)

Heh. I'm off to an evening showing so I'm expecting the queues to be pretty big. I think an hour early should be suffice.

hmm I would check before hand, three of the shows at my local cinema for the evening have sold out.

This is why I am planning on seeing the 11am or 12pm showing, less people plus they are in the large screens that hold 500 people so hopefully I will be lucky

I just got back from watching it.

Awesome stuff. A truly epic film that makes you smile, cry and laugh. The battle scenes were nothing short of spectacular and the acting was superb. VFX (as expected) were brilliant and best seen on film as of yet.

In terms of new characters, the Witch King awesome. :D

My rating: 9/10 (I'm giving it 9 since there were many. many scenes missing that I hope will feature in the EE).

Agreed too many scenes missing so they better be put on the DVD.....

...I think they should have kept the way Gollum went to how it was in the book so you don't see anything only hear him cry "precious" as he falls

What scenes there should be in the EE :

-Aragorn confronting Sauron via the Plantir
-Mouth of Sauron at the black gate
-Aragorn and co taking over the ships
    -Saruman
    -Gandalf Vs. Witch King
    -Houses of Healing

If those scenes appear in the EE (and they were actually filmed) ROTK will be one of my favourite films of all time.

I hope some of the houses of healing is there at least because you can see at the end of the movie the relationship between Eowyn and Faramir but you get no idea on how that happens.

I am a little disapointed with the ending of the movie, it's a shame Saruman's demise wasn't included :(

Don't get me wrong I really liked the movie it's judt a shame these things had to be cut out.

Yeah. I would have been prepared to sit for another 20 minutes just to see those scenes.

Not to worry though. The EE will have those scenes. :D
