There was blood and the silly face that he made and I must say that if the slice did not kill ya, the 1000000s of hits with your head against the wall and the final crash at the bottom WILL KILL YA!

Considering Maul was consumed by the dark side and had lost his mental state of mind for so long. I believe that now his vision and drive is stronger than ever. I also believe the time he spent consumed and tormented by his own failures made him even stronger with the force.

The one aspect I believe he's not as strong or good at as he was in TPM is his skill with the saber. He's probably still knocking off some rust and since his training partner is Savage and not Sidious, it's safe to say his skill at best will only be as good as it was back then.

Well it's Star Wars, anything can happen, which is why I worry about what happened to Darth Sidious in ROTJ...

While his fighting skill might not be what it was, his compensating by becoming a much more dangerous intellectual foe. I like it.

Maul definately seems stronger in this arc, not just in his power with the force or with his skills with a saber. I haven't seen much demonstration of those. What I am seeing is how much more cunning Maul is than in TPM. I never would have thought TPM Maul could snow a terrorist organization then recruit an army to go try to take over a planet just to enact revenge and more importantly try to oppose his former master. Its to bad I don't think any of that will be enough.

I just see it as, Maul is alive. It is what it is. TCW is fun to watch with him in it. I've had less fun in some of the episodes Grievous is in and yeah, that's unfortunate.

Yup, until you see a body or the body is destroyed clearly, nobody is dead.

NO, you do not mean the horrid rebirths of Palpy!?

I think it is manipulation on Lucas's part.
He instructs his teams to make the maul episodes their prime objective, but at the same time he wants and makes Shadow Warrior.
That is the problem... Lucas does not care for anybody else than Maul. That is why he is not putting any effort into making Grievous better.

Yeah well I'm afraid it's what they're gonna do in the ST, because if they've done it with Maul, I guess they can do it with him, but let's hope they don't.

Won't happen, it would ruin Anakin's whole point of existence.

Lucas has ruined some stuff but the chosen one plot I think is too big, it would invalidate the entire prequel trilogy.
Though I always hated the chosen one idea anyway.

I don't like thinking that the force has ultimate control, I like to see it as there's a will but you can deny that destiny, afterall Palpatine said it was Luke's destiny to replace Vader but it didn't happen [just one example I realise Palpatine can lie etc]. I don't think Anakin was destined to join the Sith for example, he chose that but still ended up doing what the force wanted, and I hate that.
    I'm such a Kreia :p

TPM Maul without a doubt. This Maul is too insecure about his place in the Galaxy, he appears to be consistently overcompensating for something.

TPM Maul had not doubts or insecurities. He was basically a living weapon.

    TPM Maul.

According to my personal canon, TCW Maul is a bisected corpse.

Definitely pre-bisection. Not only is it logical that a guy who nearly died and took an extended period of leave would never be able to return to his former heights, but you can even see in the episodes he's lost an edge.

I think Maul became weaker as a half cyborg.
