Iron Man, We all know this one was awesome by now, and if you've not seen it.. well.. GO! And stay through the credits.

Speed Racer pretty much stunk, though the colors were pretty.

Narnia was really good. Definitely would recomend that one.

Indiana Jones. Anyone who complained about this movie obviously forgot about how campy the other three were. You don't go into Indiana Jones expecting to see an Academy award winning movied, and if you do? well, we can't help you.

I'm guessing none of you are gonna care about the Sex and the City movie, right? =)

I cannot speak for these other souls, but that one is not on the top of my list. Although speaking of "chick flicks", I did come across Mona Lisa Smile while flipping through the channels today, and ended up watching the whole thing. Not a bad movie. Although I also watched some of Rocky II later today, so I think the universe is still in balance.

This week I've been working late nights and using movies to put me to sleep. I can highly recommend the first half of all these movies:

    Bucket List
    Kung-Fu Panda
    Burn After Reading

I'm not sure about the 2nd half though.

Just a bump for this thread, in case anyone's seen any good movies lately. As noted in another thread, I give Bolt a "thumbs up".

Through the holiday season I have watched a few:
    1) Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull: I don't see what the big deal was about what the skull was and what it "belonged" to. Alot of the forums and reviews I read about it were not for the topic. I enjoyed the movie and the kids did too.
    2) The Incredible Hulk: Although I did like the "first" Hulk, I liked this one better. The kids followed this one easier than the last one also. I know it wasn't a sequel to the first one but it left me wanting more and a "is that it" attitude. I really liked the General's comment about Tony Starke's suite at the end.

I have Wanted on DVD but am waiting till I have my surround speakers hooked up before I watch it.

So, like, I was on a diplomatic mission, and just happened to see the new Star Trek film.

(The place was crawling with Trekies and the even had a fan table set up)

I wish I could review the movie but I have so many spoilers of things I liked and
a lot of stuff that I did not, I fear saying more.

However, this latest film was much better than
Star Trek, The still picture (for those that know this inside joke)

    BUT,

and this is against modern film makers in genearl as well as the new Trek movie,

there is almost no soundtrack at all. Or, repeating the same 8 measures or so,
over and over is not a soundtrack, it then becomes a sound effect.

maybe by around fall, I will post my list (may take that long to compile)
of what did and did not work for me.

but, it is better than the average film and I found it enjoyable.

Please note, that I have been re-watching my Star Trek collection
(which I own because of my on-going diplomatic efforts)
and thus completed "The Original Series" and about 150 episodes of "Next Generation"
so I was up on some things Star Trek.
