Alrighty, now before everyone starts shouting, I know there's a Fan Art forum, and I know there's a thread for Clone Wars in there too. I just figure that this particular Fan Art will be of particular interest to you guys and gals ;)

Using images from the Official CW Site I've assembled some works which I "designed for the specifications of a DVD and VHS slip case."

    >> HERE << is a design for a DVD slipcase.

    >> HERE << is the VHS equivalent. It's the size of the UK Video Boxes used for Episodes I & II.

    >> HERE << is the one for you folks who've got Droids and Ewoks on VHS from the 80's. This one is designed to fit in with that collection of UK VHS covers, in 'standard' VHS boxes.

Lemme know what you guys think :)

Those are nice, I like the pictures you've chosen for the back (but Padme only has one brief appearance...maybe another picture could've gone in there?).

I dread to think what Artoo is intending to do with his extendable arm!!!

Does anyone have any drawn art? Like some drawings of battles? Do we have anyone else artistic here?

Do you have a website to host them on?

    No? Try freewebs.com or geocities.com
They're both free, then you simply link to the site from here.

Can I post photos of the TORRENT v19 Clone starship I built out of LEGO in this thread too?

    Consider it "Fan Sculpture" [face_mischief]

HA HA HA HAAA! Whilst browsing the internet's largest auction site for more Star Wars videos for my collection, I noticed some guy selling VHS copies of CW using my artwork (above) as the cover! MINT! I'VE MADE IT! AT LAST!!

Not that I condone this sort of thing in the slightest. [face_plain]

    Well not really ;)
I did post it on certain "cover sites" that specialise in such things. And it's not like they're passing the work off as their own.

I just believe in "sharing the love" so to speak...

    Okay, time for >>>BUMPAGE<<<

Thanks to the Frank ( :D ) encoding the footage from the trailers, I've now been able to grab enough screenies to finish the second-half of my fan-art project. Also, the links above don't work any more, so these are re-hosted.

To save bandwidth and browsing-time, click on the link below the image, the previews are low-res only. The hi-res ones weigh in at just under 1meg each.

I've also done some in the 80's Droids & Ewoks style if anyone's interested...

    Enjoy... :D

Once again, excellent work Blackout!!! :D  :D

The only thing niggle-worthy is the CD labels don't have a hole in the middle. Yoda's and Asajj's lightsabers would be punctured by a hole. Is that what you intended (?), because there seems to be a lot of empty space (particularly in Yoda's case to the left) either side of where the hole would be to move Yoda over a little. Then we could see all the lightsaber's blade. Even Asajj could be shunted to the right a little (although I suppose you'd then be stuck with what to do with the words 'Clone Wars').

The labels are designed to be printed on those pre-cut sheets you can get from most stationers. The file will give you 2-3mm bleed (impossible to line up otherwise) around the outside, and the cut-out will take care of itself. On these sheets, there's usually a panel-sticker to one side of the circle, this is where I've put the VHS stickers. The top & bottom of the VHS sticker bleed over the cut, but the left and right you'll have to cut manually.

And yeah, you can't see the whole blade when the center-hole comes out, but I figure that's a small price to pay for composition ;) Besides, the disc will be in your machine and you can look at the cover :D
