It's just the way it is at this school. That's why I'm going to a city school. Perhaps it will be more civilized there.

 

If by that you mean public school, then no way. If anything, less civilized.

 

Hate to break it to you, but schools are generally the same across the country...

No discipline, stupid teachers who can't teach, dumb kids who don't want to be there...

The people at our school are ridiculous. Today, the teachers got cussed out just because it was the last day of school. I mean-

Did you know that European schools are surpassing our schools, especially in math, science, and foreign languages?

I have a friend in Sweden who spoke fluent English with very little difficulty by the time she was nine.

I also have a Japanese friend who was taking college level classes in middle school and high school.

 

Wow... I hate my damned America even more now... must escape to Canada.... (begins plotting)

We just need educational reform...seriously.

 

I could speak to the history of the undermining of America through its education system, but then you would all die of boredom.

All I can say is that the troubles you all suffer in your respective schools . . . these are not enirely due to bureaucratic inefficiency and lack of funds.

My advice, if you'll have it:

Hang in there. Learn all you can. Make as many friends as you can. Graduate and go to college where things get a LOT better.

Then when you are full fledged decision making citizens, do all you can to vote and lobby for changes in your community's school systems. This way your children will have it better than you had it.

 

America won't be fine until divorce is changed so you don't have to "support a lifestyle people have become accustomed to" and until George W. Bush has been assassinated... (not by me)

 

Wow!You guys are really against the schools!The schools here stink too!All the schools are full of druggies,15 year old girls getting pregnant, and the only people who are ever praised are the ones who mess up big time and change their ways. No one gets praised if they are normal.

Gain as much education as you can and then use it to improve education.

 

SWD: Don't hate your country. Your country is your people and your friends here who are Americans are also your people.

Americans were a beautiful and great people once. We can be so again, if good people like you, SWD, want it that way.

You won't find it better anywhere else, because what good other places have, we bought for them with the blood of our best and dearest.
