*Turns and grins before bowing* Hello Mentor Toru How are you tonight?

 

*Toru bows before saluting* Hello, Zabade. It has been a very long time. I feel rather silly for coming when the salle is empty.

 

*Grins happily* It has, Avo. I'm very happy to see you again Unfortunately it's often empty these days

 

*The Togrutan Padawan enters the empty battle hall with a smile that hardly concealed her excitement. She had extended a challenge for the first time..whether her opponent decided to show or not was unknown, and after five minutes of silence she sits down in the stands to wait*

 

Furio enters the arena with his black tattered robes flapping in the wind like a flag of pure evil and malice. The Dark Lord wanted to show this foolish apprentice what it meant to weild a lightsabre. She clearly did not know who she was dealing with. Furio's battles with Ree the Grand Master of the NJT, Charn the old Emperor of the NGE, and Darth Dreadwar of the ASE were the stuff of legends. Furio himself was once the Emperor of the NGE. His connection to the Dark Side was old and powerful. The darkness that followed him could only be matched by a select few.

Padawan. *He ignites his crimson blade*

 

Immediately sensing the dark aura that entered the arena, Alisha turns her head toward it. Her opponent has arrived...he clearly has seen many battles in his years, and a wealth of experience. But little does he know, the Padawan has experience of her own. She and her Master crossed blades with Darth Dreadwar of the NGE, and she dueled The Lost One alone, and lived to tell the tale. Not that she did much talking...

Calmly stepping down from the stands, she faces him, taking her own lightsaber and igniting the ancient green blade.

"Furio...I'm glad you decided to show."

 

"You won't be glad when I've driven my blade through your throat"

Furio starts to circle the young woman. Stalkiing his prey he sets himself into his hybrid Juyo/Ataru stance. He begins by calling on the Force to levitate and pull down massive stone colomns on top of Alisha

 

"Hmph! I've heard that one before..."

Going into an Ataru stance, she quickly hears the CRACK of falling stone columns, targeted for her. Going into a Force Jump, she springs up into the midst of the flying chunks of stone, lands on one and Force-Pushes the rest away. The 'island' lands heavily with her safely perched on it, and the other debris crashes to the ground.

 

Furio watches the graceful movements from Alisha and as she "perches" herself on the debris Furio fires with one hand Dark Side Lightning and with the other he fires numerous toxic darts from his wrist mounted dart launcher.

 

Stands on her stone for merely a few seconds, and sees Furio open a hand and energy quickly collects in a burst of Force Lightning, and fire something else from his other hand. Sensing the danger, she slides down from the chunk of column, which shields her if not briefly, from both attacks.

 

Furio wastes no time in firing himself at Alisha with Force enhanced speed. He lands in front of her and swipes at her with numerous quick strikes at her knees, neck, and shoulders.

 

Briefly taken aback by the sudden move, and Alisha dodges the first few attacks, each slash gouging a deep mark into the column she formally hid against. Taking advantage of a brief slow in his swings, Alisha rushes out from the rock, getting out from the wall her cover created. Staying defensive the whole time, she matches Furio step for step, deflecting the remainder of his lightsaber strikes. Reaching out with the Force, she pulls the fallen column into a sharp roll, sending it down toward her opponent.

 

After the exchange with their lightsabres Furio saw the column roll towards him, "Clever Jedi" Furio thought to himself. He leaped over the rock and directly back at the Padawan. Furio used the Swift Flank Technique from the Juyo discipline which was a deceptive attack that looked as if he was going to attack her head on but he actually would attack her rib cage to throw her off balance. Wheather it connected or not he intended on using another barrage of quick strikes on the Jedi.

 

Seeing him leap over the rock, Alisha sidestepped out of range as Furio landed to renew his attack. He rushed her, about to strike at her head. Alisha was bracing to duck when the blow changed it's path, heading for her lower torso instead. Her attempt to dodge the deceptive move was in vain, and she was successfully knocked off-balance for a mere two seconds.

Furio raised his lightsaber to start another wave of strikes, and Alisha managed to fling a Force Push at the hilt, knocking it out of his hand long enough for her to regain her balance.

 

Furio quickly used the Force to pull back his sabre back and turned towards his enemy who was now standing infront of him again. He used the Force to raise up multiple jagged pieces of duracrete from the debris of the destroyed Columns behind Alisha. He launched them all at her back and after the launch he leaped high above her to aviod being hit himself. Furio planned the jump so that he would land directly on top of her to hopefully strike her down after she had inevitably dealt with the debris field.

 

Furio pulled his lightsaber back immediately, but Alisha was securely on her feet again. He then raised an arm, and Alisha turned around to see several jagged chunks of the destroyed columns floating, and tilting to aim their lethal tips at her. They all shot forward, and Alisha reaches out herself to try and slow their path, slightly. Looking up, she saw Furio in the air directly above her, so she leapt sideways to dodge the projectiles, and to avoid a collision with airborne opponent.

 

Furio landed hard on the ground causing the duracrete to crumble under his feet. He started to realize that the Jedi girl needed to be disposed of in a different manner. He launched his single bladed sabre at Alisha like a spear with his strength enhanced by the Force. After his throw took he took his dual bladed sabre staff from behind his back and ignited both sides and Force jumped at her intending to put her off balance with the new weapon's ability to strike low and high.

 

With a few seconds to recover, Alisha renewed her stance, this time of Soresu. She watched as Furio hurled his saber, not in a circle, but in a straight path. Alisha rose her blade to deflect the oncoming lightsaber when he took a second weapon from his back. A dual-bladed lightsaber, from the looks of it. Flicking her wrist, the thrown lightsaber deflects and deactivates itself as it skids to a stop on the ground.

Confronted with this new weapon, Alisha first sent several small chunks of debris at the airborne Furio through the Force, and then reached for her belt. Taking a second, slightly smaller hilt, she activated a shimmering blue blade. Taking a stance, she's ready and willing to take any challenge her opponent has with his saber-staff.

 

Furio noticed small chunks of debris coming at him and he quickly dispatched it with a few small arcs from his sabre staff. He now noticed that Alisha had produced another smaller bladed lightsabre. Furio smirked and looked at his single bladed lightsabre lying on the floor. He called it back to him and made the blade ignite and float in the air with the Force. Furio made the blade circle around Alisha while he made his own circle and surrounding the Jedi. Furio knew he would only be able to have it slash once or twice at her because he needed to focus his own attack. So the Dark Lord had the floating blade attack from behind while he attacked straight ahead with furious anger and Force enhanced speed.

 

Alisha watched the twirling blade with an evident wariness, until Furio began to race for her armed with his saber-staff. The loose blade behind her began to swing, and she realized his trick. Oh, he was just full of them now, wasn't he?!

She managed to whip around to deflect the flying lightsaber, and, sensing her opponent right on top of her, jumped. She flew several feet and landed out of range of the speed-enhanced attack. She had a feeling his attacks would get more wild the angrier he got; it was the same case with the mysterious Lost One she had crossed blades with.

 

Furio watched the Jedi leap out of way yet again. The battle seemed to be going no where so Furio tried somethiing different, Dun Moch.

"Will you ever try and attack or will you simply bounce around like a gizka?"

Furio sent feelings of anger and hate at her through the Force by showing her mental images of her death and destruction. By attacking Alisha mentally he hoped to distract her and make her lose focus on the battle.

"What do you fear schutta? Do you fear dying alone on this arena floor with no one to save you? Tell me will your fear lead to anger, will it lead to hating me? Only the darkness within you has any hope of defeating me."

Furio continued to try and break down her mental walls that protected her inner most thoughts.

 

*watches in the shadows*

 

"Will you ever try and attack or will you simply bounce around like a gizka?" Furio asked, his annoyance evident when Alisha landed.

She couldn't even open her mouth to respond when the image of a Togrutan girl, broken and bloodied on the ground appeared in her mind's eye. Alisha could barely recognize her own face, caked with dust and scratches; her blue eyes, formerly full of life, darkened with hatred...A Force Vision. Of course...

Alisha briefly rose a hand to her head, bringing up her mental walls to fight this familiar attack. She briefly shut her eyes to concentrate against the battering visions, but the image of her own defeat refused to fade. Accompanying this was the vision of flames....A hungry inferno that was tearing through a massive city. The air was filled with people's screams as they tried to flee, and Furio's taunting voice came clearly above it all.

"What do you fear schutta? Do you fear dying alone on this arena floor with no one to save you?"

The city began to shrink into what looked like a small village...oh no. No! This attacking vision was trying to breaking through to Alisha's memories...lowering down into a crouch, she began to strengthen the walls. She could still hear Furio, clear as day.

"Tell me, will your fear lead to anger, will it lead to hating me? Only the darkness within you has any hope of defeating me."

"..." Still keeping her mental walls up, Alisha finally stood. "I won't...allow it to...Darkness isn't what I call hope!"

Re-igniting her green lightsaber, she began to move. Coming at him in an enhanced run, she waited until she was almost on top of him to explode in a Force Repulse. Spinning with the lightsaber as she did, Alisha created a buzz-saw effect to surprise him even if he dodged the Force Move.

 

Furio watched as Alisha struggled with his mental assault. He then felt her clear her mind say something. Furio was pleased to see her go on the attack and create a Force explosion that he blocked with a Force barrier. She then fell on top of him with her lightsabre whirrling at him. Furio was fortunate enough to get his lightsabre up above his head with Force enhanced speed to block the multiple strike attack. After Furio made his initial blocks he side stepped Alisha's forward momentum to slip behind her and he unleashed a Force Storm of Dark Side Lightning.

 

Alisha held back a sniff of contempt as Furio deflected her double attack. He so badly wanted her to switch to offense! Her momentum pushed her forward after her last swing with her lightsaber buzz-saw, and she could see energy collecting again in his hands. She had just landed when Furio fired his Force Storm... Pushing out with the Force, she made a small barrier that kept the worst of the lightning from touching her. Rolling to her feet, she held up both arms, lifting small chunks of debris from the fallen pillars. The pieces swirled together, forming a cyclone that was thrown in Furio's direction.
