I didn't vote for Gears of War, but I'm surprise it's this low on the list.

 

I thought GoW was fun, and am also surprised to see it that low on the list (though I did not vote for it either).

Well, then it has to be 2....right?

 

I had to cut over 300 games from this list.

I am considering posting a kind of "Honorable Mention" type list.

loved twisted metal 2, one of my all time fav games. gears of war is good two. decent places for them. find myself wondering what's ahead.

Tales of Symphonia was epic. I'm very excited about the sequel coming to the Wii later this year.

 

I should have gotten ToS when I had the chance, seems like a fun game, there's a 4 episode OVA out there but I don't think you can summarize the story in 4x30 minutes.

Anyway I've only played Metroid Prime 2, its not as good as 1 far from it even though it had some improvements and Sanctuary Fortress was an awesome area. I'm surprised it made the list.

 

Rise of Nations is good fun, but that's the only one of those I've played (except Star Wars Arcade, of course.)

Meant to pick up DQ8 and Shadow Hearts (well, the later ones in the series) but never got around to it. Be interested to hear from those who voted for them.

Also cutting 300 games doesn't bode well for my lower picks.

 

Rise of Nations is the only game I've played on that list. It's pretty good. By the way, does having "Rise of Nations: Thrones and Patriots" there mean that these were votes only for the expansion? Or that means it is inclusive of both?

Interesting. Three of my top 20 are in the bottom 10.

 

I've had so many hours of fun on Gears of War online. Awesome game.

 

RoN deserves to be higher.

 

Rise of Nations is awesomesauce. Up until recently, it was the best blend of RTS gameplay with broader mechanics. A couple days ago I bought Sins of a Solar Empire, and it reminds me in some ways of Rise of Nations. It actually made me realize how strategy gaming really hasn't gone that far in the past few years. Rise of Nations remains excellent, and SoaSE continues in the same tradition in a lot of ways.

 

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes shouldn't have made the list. Both Metroid Prime games are very overrated and this one features a craptastic multiplayer mode.

That's the only one that I've played on the list thus far.

300+ games cut is an interesting figure. It looks like there was an extremely high amount of participation from other forums and a lot of games got votes from a single person.

 

so, how many votes did a game need to be on the list? 2? 3? 10??
