This has been discussed a little here but thought it might be better to have this thread.

If you were going to make a costume, what would you want to make?

If you're already into costuming what costumes do you have/are working on or want?

Currently I've got these in the works or mostly finished:

Sandtrooper - Dewback Specialist (I've got a few finishing touches that I need to do)

Luke Skywalker - ROTJ (this is done except for the vest and hooded cape)

Imperial Gunner (working on) Will hopefully be getting the helmet soon.

    Jango Fett (working on)

MY WANT LIST (in no specific order)
    Tusken Raider
Kir Kanos or a normal Royal Guard to start out with
    Kenix Kil
    Rebel Fleet Trooper
    Old Republic Jedi
    Emperor Palpatine
    Jodo Kast
    Scout Trooper (fiberglass armor)
    Imperial Stormtrooper Officer
    Darth Maul
    Chewbacca
    Snoova
    Han Solo (ANH)
    Han Solo (ROTJ Endor Gear)
    Luke Skywalker's flight suit
    Luke Skywalker (ESB Bespin Gear)
Luke Skywalker (ANH) - Lucky_Charms is the one that wants me to have this
    Tie Interceptor Pilot

As far as wants, I think that's it for now. :D

If anyone's interested in getting into costuming let me know and either Lucky_Charms or I can help get you started. :)

Anyone else interested? I know b_b_n has expressed some interest. AoErat already has armor so I know he is. I was just wondering if anyone else is.

UPDATE: I've got my Luke costume finished (the ending of ROTJ). I was thinking about wearing it to the meeting. What do you think?

It also looks like Lucky_Charms and I will be getting a lot done on our Rebel Desert Trooper costumes soon too. :D

Yeah, I want to make a sandtrooper costume, but I'm going to end up waiting until I stop growing, because I don't want to grow out of it.

You mentioned something about that to me once, didn't you? [face_blush]

Well I'm getting psyched about the Rebel Desert Trooper costume. I've finally had the chance to go through and read the threads. :)

There is too much good stuff in there that could be used. [face_devil]

Plus, LC and I have found out that we have some extra cash so we'll probably be able to start our costumes any day now. :D

In case anyone is interested, this is the website that Admiral_JasterMereel was talking about in the meeting #2 thread. :)

Even if you're not interested in building your own lightsaber, it's still pretty interesting. :D

I Think That I Would Like To Try...

    Lando Calrissian, Bespin
    Boba Fett, Mandalor Armor (possible?)
Obi-Wan Kenobi, Attack of the Clones

    More to come...

Those would be cool. I've never done research on Lando's costume (for obvious reasons ;)) but I don't think that it'd be very hard or expensive. So that might be a good costume to start with. :)

Like I told you on Saturday, Boba Fett's gonna run you $1000-2000 depending on quality. :(

Obi-Wan is another one that's not cheap because you have to get everything just right. Now if you wanted to be a generic Jedi to start with then that's not too expensive. You can kind of play around with it and not have everything exactly like a known character. :)

I'm just throwing out some ideas. When I first got into costuming I started with my Sandtrooper gear. It took me nearly a year to complete it to where I was happy with it and I'm still not completely finished yet. [face_plain]

Like I said in the other thread, I'm into costuming. :)

My stormtrooper armor is coming along quite well. All I need to do is the belt and helmet. Still working on purchasing components for the helmet, ie fan, voice amp, flat lenses, etc.

I'm going to try to do a Boba Fett when the stormtrooper is done. I've got the materials and resources to do an all-metal helmet and armor, so that'll be the goal.

I'd be careful with metal armor in AZ. If you wear it outside, it could be a safety thing. Trust me, when you're in armor, people touch you. It's usually either for pictures or sometimes little kids will come up and hug you. :)

Would anyone like to make a jedi costume of some kind? Any costume at all?

I know some have discussed being Jedi/Dark Jedi. Others have expressed interest in a costume but no one has really discussed much, if anything. :(

An update on my Stormtrooper - I just finished the belt. :) I need to attach the cylinder to the back still, however.

OBI-WAN_KENOBI_1977, instead of picking one jedi version to base your costume on, you could make a complete custom Jedi costume. As long as it looks Jedi then people will recognize you as such.

If you really want to do one of the movie versions, which do you like best? There's a lot of different ones to choose from, just watch the Jedi Council scene in TPM, there's a good variety to choose from there. :D Or look at the costumes from AOTC, there's even more variety there.

There's also which colors you'd like best for your costume.

For your lightsaber have you checked out the Big Yellow Box yet? It's a really good place to start for your lightsaber. :D

I hope atleast some of this helps. :D

AoErat, that's cool! How are you going to attach the thermal detonator/O2 tank? Velcro? Screws?

I'm using 2 screws for the O2 tank. I was just out getting the correct paint for it. :) So, all I need to do now is paint it, apply the silver strips, and fasten the front plate.
