I know UEFA are making it up as they go along introducing a new system, with many different possibilities. Which is making it difficult to predict who faces who in the knock out phase. BBC said Albania, but who really knows.

 

Can't say for sure Albania because it's not clear they are one of the four who advance. Assuming the slots for third place teams are filled in order, then Wales would play Albania if the latter advance, which is far from certain.

 

I think there are about four possible opponents for a team in the final 16.

 

The Spanish team should be arrested for that god-awful away shirt.

If Turkey don't win 4-0, Northern Ireland are through. According to BBC.

It was the Final in 2012! By the way, that's a match I love looking back on...

 

Spain, Germany, France, Italy and England are all on the same side of the knockout bracket, on the other side we have Croatia, Poland, Switzerland and Wales (most likely Belgium will join this side). This is going to be fun.

 

England, Wales and Northern Ireland are through!

 

So the UK won't leave Europe that easily. At least not in football...
