Football Italia on a Sunday afternoon. Just the thing to have a nap in front of after the Sunday roast and beers down the pub.
Italy are just jammy though - they never play particularly well, but always get quite far.

 

!!!! They never play well!!??!! They are the masters of shutting up shop. True, they always rely on their number 10 to do the stuff, but they are all technically brilliant. The top 10 teams in Italy have players who are all technically better than english players. Our clubs beat them because the premiership pace is too much for them.

Watch an average player in the premiership and then an average player in Serie A. No comparism. But European football has increased in pace ion the last few years. Which is why the English and Spanish teams do well IMO.

The next crop of youngsters in England will be better though. We're about ten years behind France in our youth development.

The bubble has burst for Italian football. In five years time, they are gonna really struggle. Although thier under 21s did alright.

The Italians are the masters of niggly fouls and gamesmanship. But I never support south american teams and obviously support anyone over the germans.

But to be honest, there is nobody I really like in the Italian team this time around. I would've supported them as a second team if Baggio was taken to the the tourny.

Trezeguet is fit as far as I know.

Star player in this tournament is going to be Zidane. If he's fit.

Italy - what about Euro 2000? Italy were dire. There was no way they deserved to get past Holland (they should have scored that pen). And they almost won the whole thing. They are a lucky team.
I agree that the average Italian player is better than the average Brit though, but only technically. Sometimes they don't like it up 'em Mr Mainwairing.

ED; I don't know about Henry. France have three/four world class strikers/midfielders so they can rotate. And they can all score. Whereas other teams only have one or two players. And Italy only have the one.
