One things for sure the next world cup won't be the same, beating Brazil in the sence of
sending them home before the Quater Finals
will be a second world cup- something like
5-0.
Brazil has now got a lot of team to concentrate on : Turkey
Germany
Italy
Holland
and especially England
and even the whole world
and each of these country want to make an example of the Brazillians.
Lets hope England gets there first before they do.

 

I'm very surprised that Brazil don't automatically qualify as current champions. I wonder if this is anything to do with the France fiasco.

Anyway, I'm glad Brazil won. There's no shame in going out to the eventual champions (except in 1986 )

2006 is the first time that the defending champions don't automatically qualify for the tournament

As an Anglo-Saxon, I was moderately cheering for Germany, simply based on the fact that I just cannot stand Brazil. I know they're a great team and usually a crowd pleaser but I just cannot stand their diving antics and their arrogant over-confidence.

I don't like the Gerries much either but at least they're a European team.

Oh well....I knew Brazil would win. But FIVE GODDAMN WORLD CUPS!?!? That's too many.

England will do much better in 04' in Portugal and hopefully a final appearance in 2006 in Deutschland.
